Great idea! When you set the pattern up for printing, I would recommend adding a grainline arrow onto each pattern at the correct angle to cut on, and you can make it exactly any length you choose. That way when you project it into the pattern you can move the projector closer/further from the fabric until the projected line is the correct length. I'd love to know how it goes!
My layout looked fine but when I printed I had some pieces not matching and some pieces printed twice. Do you think it is tracing problem? It all seemed good on in details.
Hi, Thanks for the tutorial. I have access to a plotter that can print using paper size A0, A1. I am just wondering what settings I should choose to print the whole pattern on a single A1 paper sheet as my pattern fits A1 and I hate tiled patterns because of extra work I need to do?
The biggest thing will be when you save the file, change the drop down file type to pdf or svg, and make sure it is NOT on pdf tile. Hope this helps! 😊
Muchas gracias por el vídeo 😊👍 Yo también, tengo que tener paciencia para probar con distintos tamaños de papel, para que las piezas puedan ordenarse mejor y no se desperdicie mucho papel. 😅
Brilliant tutorials - thank you! Any advice about creating a pattern 'piece'/ workpiece which looks fine and the list of points looks okay but when viewing the pattern piece the armhole ends up as a straight line? I've been driving myself crazy with it but still no joy.
It Works!!! I was following a TH-cam video by an Aussie lady and clicking exactly where she was but it just didn't work. Re-watched yours and it was as simple as going around but not clicking back on the origin point (which she was doing). Why hers worked but mine didn't....who can say. My armhole is now looking great and ready to print. Thanks again - really enjoyed your detailled tutorial. Just need to get drafting some more menswear for myself now. @@ReadyEmKay
Hi, sorry for the wait, I've been trying to figure it out. I cannot find any way to make the color change stay when you go to print. It only changes in the draw portion. I will keep looking around and seeing what I can find, and if I can figure out a way I will update the comment response.
Your tutorials are great! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
These videos are so extremely helpful. Thank you!
Such useful tutorial!! ❤
Thanks! I'm glad it's helpful 😀
Having plotter is really helpful but what do you think about buying a projector and have the pattern projected straight on the fabric?

@@ReadyEmKay thank you! I just changed the setting to the roll 36 inch and it worked.

how to fix a curve that is showing up as a straight line in CAD pattern making
If this is not the problem you're having you might have to send me a picture or video of what's going on 😊

Hi thanks for the tutorial, I was wondering if theres a way that I can change colors on the pattern lines when they print out? Thanks in advance! :)
