I wouldn't bank on get a nicer vehicle. It heavily depends on your market, time etc. When I get an uber x it's mostly a regular uber x car. Only once did I get an uber black car.

So about all I can do is obviously reject bad offers, but also reject good orders. Or just make it take a longer time before you finally X it out. Sorry the experiment didnt work out. In my experience, just using a cheap hybrid and driving 50-60 hours a week and cherry picking is the best for profits. You'll make $60-80k+ a year and not owe on taxes with deductions and your gas expense is low and if you live frugal you're keeping good profits. I have almost 15k rides between uber and lyft
This is the thing that people don’t realize about rideshare. It’s a crap shoot… a roll of the dice. This video is great for helping people understand the risk of taking on debt to drive for Uber or Lyft. Too many people are doing it. So if you’re not able to go 7 days a week you’ll lose in the end. Lyft is getting rid of LuX altogether. So it’s a bad investment altogether(depending on market). Cherry picking X rides is what it’s boiling down to.

I just started with Uber. I have a bigger SUV so I can do UberXL rides. I notice some people select the XL ride but it’s just a single person and it seems to be good for a lot of people going to and from the airport. Does anyone think it’s more profitable catching those XL rides than Black?
Depends on the market. In my market there's far more XL and X rides to the airport than Uber black SUV. Most of the Uber Black SUV drivers just use the platform to meet clients and then switch them over to private. It's very hard to do because there aren't that many of those rides and every time you order an Uber Black SUV you're going to get a nice car, so why would someone want to make you their personal driver. However, switching people who normally take Uber X or Uber comfort is MUCH easier because the passenger is comparing you to previous Uber X drivers and cars they've had, which in many cases result in bad experiences. Because of how much Uber is taking, they've run off many of the full time drivers. In fact, I'm convinced that Uber doesn't even want full time drivers. They want an army of side hustle drivers that don't care how much the ride pays, what the passenger rates them, or the experience they provide the passenger. I've heard numerous horror stories from passengers that took Uber X. These people will gladly switch over to having a private driver as long as your car is clean, you drive respectfully, your price is in the ball park of Uber, and you can provide them a receipt (use the Square app to do this).

I will be one of those part timers for Uber as I own a 24ft box truck that I use for a majority of my income. I am familiar with the Square app as I use it for my business sometimes. Overall I do like driving and have the apps like DoorDash and Amazon Flex. Although those apps are nice it’s tough to do them at anytime you want unless you are a TopDasher or at level 2 for Amazon Flex, Uber is more of my style because I flip it on when I’m ready and it can become immersive (I have the options turned on for other services like UberEats and Connect). i know they dont pay the best but the economy is tougher these days.

I would keep the car and just work the busy days. In my market there are also weeks that you make 1k and if you rent the car and pay for the gas you work for nothing. All those renters will stop renting, this September was the threshold for for the year limit and I bet some people won’t buy new cars and continue. I think it will pick up.

Your calculations are a bit off, because there are 52 weeks per year. At $600 month rental fee × 52 weeks = $31,200, ÷ 12 months = $2600 per month income. It's still not worth renting out, but your calculations don't reflect your actual yearly P&Ls.
It doesn't matter because it's almost impossible to rent out the car full 12 months out of the year. Before covid, these cars were even going for $450 a week and there was Select and Lyft Lux. Now they don't even exist so nobody can pay $600 a week just doing Uber Black, you will starve to death.

I work 10-12 hours and pull in $350-$450 a day with my Fusion Hybrid at 42 mpg. Im hoping to get a $600-$800 daily average with Black. Anyone know how possible this is?
You just have to be careful because interest rates are too high at this moment, and also, there is an oversaturated of drivers in the market. And what I hear from people who are Tesla owners and used to rent Tesla's that is very expensive to upkeep Tesla's. And now Hertz even says that they're pulling back on EV because maintenance is too high.

@@UberDriverChatthe problem is also there are too many black drivers. I see about 200 Uber black SUV’s in West Hollywood/hollywood area every night. Check your passenger app and see how many black vehicles are near certain areas and you’ll see there’s tons of blacks.

In my world your $600 a week comes out to $31,200 a year, but I live in a 365 day a year world and 365 divided by 7 is 52 and 52 weeks times $600 is $31,200 and not $28,800.
Y’all F cry babies, uber SHOULD be something around 60 to 70% of your income, and you have to be creative to make another 30- 40% doing something else, e-commerce maybe , selling on facebook marketplace, the drivers who really make money use uber as a source of CUSTOMERS not a source of INCOME, real money is outside of uber but you need to start and get customers from somewhere😒
