I've been told by my kid's that I'm not allowed to go to Alaska by myself because they're worried I'd stay there and never come back to Minnesota! BTW, Beautiful Blue healer!
Watching this brought me back; we took my daughter and niece and did the exact same tour of the dredge about ten years ago by the same guy. We had to wait for him to get done mining for the day and he told us he had to put up a million dollar bond to buy and move it to where it is. Then my wife and i sat on the porch of Downtown Chicken while they panned for gold for hours. I love that area we had the whole campground to our selves. You adding the historic footage is so awesome.
I just love seeing your adventures. You always find such interesting and fun off the beaten path things to do! I used to work with a guy who had a claim in northern CA gold country. He would go up about every other weekend and pan. He found more than enough to make it very worthwhile. He was such a character.
We love mining history. If you ever get back to Idaho, you should stop by the Yankee Fork Gold Dredge outside of Stanley, Idaho. Michelle and I volunteer on the Dredge (museum) through the summer.
Even though me and my bride of 37 yrs do not RV. We are both retired now and took a month long trip around the east coast. A lot of our stops were from watching your stops traveling. Hands down, this was our best vacation ever. 1 month, 4005 miles. We traveled like nomads. Small plan on leaving north GA to Tenn. Up through Kentucky, Ohio up to Niagara Falls. Over to New Hampshire to see friends. Missed Maine because we were there at the peak of leaf changing season, no hotels for 250 mile radius on that weekend. Came back south thru so many states. Last stop was Shenandoah Valley, so beautiful. Your travels gave us so many ideas. Wife got so great at finding us hotels for us to stay at on the fly, we planed out our path for the day. Never knowing where we would end up at the end of the day. Flew by the seat of our pants. Never having to be somewhere at a certain time. Thank you for places to see. One stop I have not seen on the RV channels is The Mark Twain house. We were traveling through the city and my bride screams out, the Mark Twain house from a road sign. I rolled my eyes and said OK. Ended up being one our best on the fly stops of our trip. Thank you both for sharing your trips. Watch your channel like clockwork, enjoy it so much !!!!!!
Watching your videos is making us believe we should plan a trip to Alaska with the fifth wheel next year. It all looks like so much fun. Looking forward to your next video.
Just love hearing all the history of area's when traveling. This is the real history and should be taught in schools. Sure more interesting that trying to read it in books. Thanks for sharing your experiences!! I've tried to pan for gold before. It's not as easy as it looks.
Alaska is so nice. We have to make our way up there. This time of year is super nice. Thanks for sharing. It’s always a pleasure to watch uploads from you guys.
There is a gold dredge just outside Dawson City that we took a tour of. This one looks more complete than that one. Tony Beets on the Discovery Channel program Gold Rush has an operating dredge somewhere there in the Yukon.
Good job! Great documentary and video work. I'm sure, you are probably out of state by now, but...if you want to out do all of the others, I suggest a great float trip from Eagle to Circle....next time! Still on my bucket list. 🙂
Awesome video. I was reliving our 2016 trip through the same area. We traveled the Top of the World highway from Dawson City, YT and stayed at Chicken.
HOLY MOLY I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A GIANT DREDGER MACHINE FOR GOLD.. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS JUST PANNING FOR GOLD BY HAND. VERY INTERESTING THEY MUST HAVE COLLECTED A LOT OF GOLD I BET. LOVE YOU ANNAMAY
It's great to see Featherville, Idaho on the signpost, not far from where I live! Fun fact, Featherville is actually "formed" by a dredge. Although the dredge is no longer there all of the tailings and tailing ponds are. I really enjoy watching your videos and getting to follow along with you and your family on all the adventures! Next time you're through Idaho I would suggest stopping off at Sunbeam, between Stanley and Challis, and going on the tour of the dredge that is there. Very educational.
Hope you found enough gold to finance your trip to Alaska. Good to see Jessie had your back and was willing to smack that mosquito on your head Corey. On our ride up to Chicken the ladies in the back seat of the truck were getting air time on the frost heaves.
Dempster Hwy from Dawson City to Inuvik, then on to Tuktoyuktuk, on the Arctic Ocean. You need 2 spare tires, just in case the rocks are sharp. I would have 2 - 5gal gas/diesel tanks just in case. That will be your best trip!
The second best Thai I have ever tasted was in Tok, AK! The 1st is outside Ft. Bragg, NC. Retired Army CSM had a Thai wife and she cooked some yummy stuff. That was 30 yrs ago. I doubt it is still open, they both have retired again or passed. Great video!
Hello I enjoy your videos very much😊 I haven’t been able to hear from you in two weeks and I’m really getting anxious about your family. please just give a little short video about how you all are 😢❤ I pray that all is well with you 😊🥰
I’m planning our Alaska trip for next year and wondered if you could share some additional info on that West Fork CG? I can’t find it on a map or a BLM listing.
I just returned from Alaska a couple days ago and the TSA confiscated my fireweed jelly 😩. Totally my fault not remembering to pack it in my checked luggage. I’m so sad 😢

Very cool tour of the dredge as always there’s a lot more to something that you haven’t learned about yet.
Good times video. The road to Chicken......Chicken was an interesting stop. Breakfast with everyone was fun.

Send us a message, we’ll come next summer😃

The dredge tour ... now I know why the chicken crossed the road!

The old timers also said, when the fireweed blooms all the way to the top. There will be a lot of snow. I never could prove the wrong.
🌊 Geweldig heb hartelijk om jullie gelachen dank jullie wel
Are you guys planning to winter there?
We really enjoy your channel but FYI a friendly suggestion is your audio needs work. Thanks Dan and Cindy
That was a very interesting tour. Alaska sure is beautiful.
OOOOHHHH I LOVE THE BONES. ANNAMAY
WE LOVE YALL!!!! Not sure what issue is but this video was very blurry.... Enjoyed the panning for gold and making jelly!
Was that a blackening seasoning that you used on the steaks? Those steaks looked really good!
Funny how gold mining went from the gold rush, to dredges and then to a Home Depot bucket. LOL !!!!!!
Are you able to tow a vehicle behind the Lineage?
HAPPY ADVENTURING STAY SAFE LOVE YOU GUYS ANNAMAY
My guess is after 100,000 more vials of gold you can retire? LOL !!!! By the way , those steaks look so good !!!
Now that you've panned for gold in Alaska, you need to pan for diamonds in Arkansas! 😁💍💎
Very cool.
So cool guys.
I just returned from Alaska a couple days ago and the TSA confiscated my fireweed jelly 😩. Totally my fault not remembering to pack it in my checked luggage. I’m so sad 😢
