Birelli is truly the greatest all around guitarist of this century in many styles. The idiots that gave thumbs down here are not musicians and know nothing of the guitar. These are truly outstanding musicians of the highest caliber and you can only listen in amazement. God Bless them.
Not the first time I watched Bireli, my jaw is still on the floor. He's very very musical, his lines like taste of a bizarre heaven, instantly recognizable he has DAT quirky beautiful lines, and his virtuosity is beyond any virtuoso ever to grace planet earth, that includes guthrie govan.. insane
Guthrie can’t touch Bireli. GG’s bebop (which separates the masters from the good players) is awful
My jaw is on the floor too! No one plays like him!
You can't really compare GG and Bireli since they play in different categories. On the technique side I would say GG is better, at least on the electric. For jazz related stuff Bireli is above for sure
The best performance among the many performances of Birelli. May it be sold on DVD.
hard to say, Bireli killed hundreds or thousands of times in his career, however, yes, this performance is amazing and shouldn't be free on TH-cam. I mean who's FAVINO881?
Wonderful BIRELI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was in the audience and this is the most impressive performance I’ve ever seen in my 49 years of life. I’ve been trying to get it out of the MI library ever since and I’m so happy this is finally out there
This is in y opinion, one the best concerts that he ever gave!My man.
The Best ever
We love you Bireli and We wish you a merry Christmas ♥️🎵
After this performance, all the instructions went into a depression, because he just played the most impressive performance on guitar they had ever witnessed. Now be grateful to see this performance
Απλότητα στην εμφάνιση,χαρισματικό παίξιμο !! Στοιχεία που χαρακτηρίζουν την διάνοια αυτού του παίχτη κιθάρας... Τι να πώ... Απλά φοβερός !!!
Bireli Lagrene and rest absolutely fantastic!!
How any one can compare artist that passed away many years ago with living ones is embarrassing ,Bireli ? , he still listen to Django to day...Like all of us.
Oh my god thank you. This is my favorite album ever and now there's video!!!
This is some of best player I've ever seen from this guy. Thanks for uploading!
everytime birelli lagrene plays hungaria, magic happens
Everytime he plays anything
Bireli is pulling out all the stops and going full shred here because this it's the Musician's Institute and he knows there are a lot of guitarists in the audience. It's also great because he's so cool and laid back, whatever mistakes happen he just plays through them, or just throw the bandmates a curveball and play something completely off because why not? If you are as great as these musicians, this is what improvisation is about.
Those other guitarist might be in awe like the rest of us.
superb !
GREAT!
SAME HERE, MIND = BLOWN
Playing since he was 4 years old
awesome :)
Damnation! Bireli is an alien...
WOOOOOOOW!
Maestro .
Lovely Djangology to wind up with.
Birelì le genius !
Bireli tres bien,
best
You're obviously right! :-)
The solo at 6:25. Lol!! Madness!!!
This is absolutely amazing such great music to listen to while doing homework.
BIRELI LE PLUS GRAND ♫\m/
my god
0:33:00 sweet rendition of 'Minor Swing'.
lovely lovely stuff!
I want to see Bireli Lagrene play with Jimmy Herring
I feel like I'm a little late to the Bireli party but I'd like to see that too. And Grisman! But really, the caliber of this guy is beyond Herring. Don't get me wrong, I've listened to JH through the years and if he were to share the stage with Bireli Lagrene, Jimmy would become a better player.
@@bryanharrell4059 I don't believe that Lagrene or Stephen or Rosenberg or any other gypsy is better than Herring. I think they are masters of their respective crafts and they should reach across musical boundaries. Jimmy with a gypsy guitar and Bireli with a PRS is funny to think about.
@@ronpaulreveredBireli plays electric guitar like a god too, but I don't know if Herring can play Jazz Manouche.
It seems the settings were changed to Private when they moved the vid from GoogleVideo to TH-cam. I just updated dozen of vids a few weeks ago to Public again.
Bireli is playing so fast that the video actually looks like it is speeded up....
❤❤❤❤❤❤🇺🇸
0:57:40 Very wise statement, inspirational chap!
Shame they didn’t come to mi in 81-82. This is the next best though.
sound is in the fingers
we have a good example here...
bireli also physically in good shape!
look there are all these cats that never went studying music at a college...playing infont of college people...believe me guys...art cannot be studied...anyway: bireli and his cats rock the shit out of the house as ususal!
and martin on the violin rock the shit out of his fiddle!!!
00:23:00 Limehouse Blues. Also, Bireli, live forever please.
defies description
Muy bonito. ¿Como se llama el violinista?
Martin Weiss
Time stamps?
Django almost invented all of that sounds. There´s no Bireli without Django.
And very little Joe Pass, or virtually any other 20th century guitar genius, for that matter.
It's funny How BL picked up this Italian-American accent.
French, not Italian
No sounds Italian to me. I know he is French.
I call this Birelis meth phase. Thin as a rail and no mortal can hear his ideas at warp speed! Lol 😂 He is a god.
`git? ok, catch this so ;p
It seems that no one could dare to say it loudly... but in fact, *what did Django have that Bireli hasn't? What did Djzngo play that Bireli couldn't??
Maybe, he's Django's spiritual son, but to me he seems still better, with a wider repertoire!... [Obviously he has all his fingers... ;-) ]
Django Reinhardt is Django Reinhardt. There was no Jazz Guitar before him. He was setting the standards in 1934. Since then, generations of millions of guitar players use Djangos music as an inspiring source. If they find their way from guitar artistery back to music, (listen to Django!) it makes me happy!
Django had melodic sensibilities and besides that these musicians are playing in a hot club style group, most of what Bireli plays has nothing whatsoever to do with Django and the way he played besides the shape of guitar.
at 1:08:00 ,he just realized what pick he is using.he is not honest !
09:55 I told him several times. Not that f -minor flat five . there. he no listen. dumpy.
just watch in half time. still too fast..
to bad the video is speed up
Bravi tecnicamente super ma personalmente dopo qualche bano mi annoio piuttosto monotomi e ripetitivi
