Oh my goodness, just had a melt down listening to this song....we lost our son July 27,2012 in the rain, he hydroplaned and hit a tree. He was an avid roper and horse whisperer, he loved the Lane Frost movie and he led his life with God at the helm. We have a memorial roping on Labor Day every year, this will be our 3rd one and it gets bigger and bigger every year! He died at 21, but he had an amazing run! Thank you for this song, love you Joshua!! Forgive us for switching the words to, he died in the rain, on the loop, in Midland....Texas that is.
Wow, that is incredible. Lane Frost touched my life a little bit more this year. I'm a Texan as well, so it gets to me. Reading your story is astounding. You made something beautiful out of something tragic. I know a family who's been through the same thing and they started a foundation that's helped a bunch of people. So, I wish you well, may God bless.
Richard Partheymuller thank you for your kind words. What it boils down for me is, it is not the years in your life, but the life in your years. May God bless you as well.
EVERY YEAR WE PBR FANS REMEMBER THE LIFE AND TIMES OF LANE FROST. HE GAVE SO MUCH TO THE SPORT ,AND BLESS THE ONE'S HE LEFT BEHIND. THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING
Just saw Aaron perform that at Stagecoach 2018 and it was so touching. He told the story of losing his newborn daughter and how Lane's mother helped him to regain his faith after the devastating loss. She told him that the best thing about Lane was not his bull riding ability, but his faith in Jesus.
I dedicate this song to my cousin brother Blair Curtin he was a true cowboy that love his bull riding..He was such a legend god bless his soul I miss and love you so much bro 😢❤💔
Lane Frost is one of my hero's, the way he always had a smile on his face and made sure to live his life to his fullest. This is what I want to be for as long as I live, Roping cattle and raising horses enjoying life.
I was named after Lane frost and i try to live the same way i now live in TX and i am thinking on doing bull riding and just listening to this song gives me chills man i wish i would of met you Frost im sure we could of been friends and what not i am now 22 and everyone who truly knows me says i am the same way as you frost may you RIP and may we meet some day bud i know i never knew you but i miss you so much
I honesty feel like Cheyenne Frontier Days' rodeos should start with this song. Like, national anthem, then July in Cheyenne. Especially any rodeo happening on July 30.
Still remember a great guy telling me about how special you were… can’t be described. Your amazing. A song that will bless my rides. We will soar to parties where cowboys don’t go early , they go all glory. For all time. Love you Brother…. God loves yours hearts
Beautiful tribute and memorial song for an unforgettable beautiful soul who’s journey here was far too short he was amazing young man who I’m sure has set an example and become an inspiration to many other bull riders he left this world chasing his dream and doing what he loved he lived his young short life enjoy every moment of it he could a legend never truly dies as long as those left behind hold tight to the memories he left behind and sharing them with others he definitely deserves to be remembered as a true legend and left his mark in this world and on the hearts of so many people so he will always be remembered
I didn’t know anything about this legend until I watched 8 seconds but when I learned of who he was I cried because of how everyone described him as bigger than life and how the world wasn’t as bright without his smile. R.I.P. Lane Frost.
Decided to look up who lane was out of curiosity and respect and wow. Heartbreaking. Poor man was just barely out of high school. But it’s good knowing that his name and the legacy he left behind won’t be forgotten. forgot where I heard this song but I’m thankful that I heard it while I did. He’s definitely earned my respect regardless of my little experience with rodeos.
If it wasn't fer Lane I don't think I'd have ever gotten into bronc ridin sure I got put out of commission due to a bad kick to the ribs but I had a helluva time n I will remember every ride RIP Lane Frost I miss you so much cousin n I love u very much thank u fer everythin u did fer me

I honestly think this is one of the greatest country songs of all time. It is a very special CRAFTED work of art! Classic beyond classics.
Once again Aaron Watson tops the mainstream "country" artists. I think it's time for everyone to notice how great of an artist he is!
listening to him live rn. straight pandering and marketing gimmicks. bro isn’t good and is clearly struggling.
