Thank you so much for this video. I have been struggling to figure this out and getting no where fast. Just came in from the shop and my servo now spins up to 3000 RPM with ease. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks for vid. I enjoyed watching it. I had a Chinese P100s servo drive. It only uses one parameter (PA11). I like your explanation and I understand it better thanks.

do you know how to hook up the encoder to the acorn board? I don't know how, and I've been searching everywhere trying to find out how. I could send you some money if you could help me know how.

Hello, I'm using this servos in my company, but i can't understand how to wire the encorder output for a Scheneider PLC, usually encoders have A, B, Z, +5v, 0v, but this one has A+, A-, B+, B-... so how can I connect that A-, B-, Z- to the PLC ???

    Hi,
    Good video,
My question is, what happens if the 10mm on the screen is only equal to 9.48 mm on the machine?

Does it make a difference if you’re using it in speed mode using a 0-10v analog signal?

Do you know the name of the drive manufacturer? How can I download a copy of the English manual?

So with this the resolution you have for 10mm pitch and 2000 steps/rev is 5 microns. Good enough even for a mill doing steel or aluminum

I think specifying DA and DB means that you can have non-integral gear ratios. e.g. 100/8 will give you a ratio of 12.5/1

    Hello mate, excellent video explaining
, how much did u pay for those 600w ones? Also ,
Would you do a big favour? I wanna buy this motors for a second Cnc build but need to know exactly the measurements of it to fit in a tight enclosure
Would b able to do it ?’manyy thanks

Thank you for this video and the good explanation, but I don't understand where you got the 25 (DA) and 5 (DB) from. I mean, why 25 and 5? You even say that as long as you end up with DA / DB = 5 you are fine, so why not just use 5 (DA) and 1 (DB)? After all, 5 / 1 = 5 also.

It's been a good while since did this but think I did try 5 and 1 and it wouldn't accept those numbers.? Not sure how the 25/5 came about.

Hi your video help me very much . As my machine was giving a bad travelling distance the only way I find for fixing my problem was 098/102 pn way.For speed my bob was able to taka 400 000 mkz so for speed I was ok .
my problem was that with mdi I dial G00x1.00 the dro was showing 1.00 in x but if you mesure the distance it was something as 0.987. the only way i find is playing with the DA/DB SO at the final I have something like
32767/32489 . the same as if you play with gear . Is that fabulous hihihihih Thanks You

Oh man, I am going to be using this motor as a spindle motor and with analog 0-10V I could only get 2300RPM, Hopefully this will let me get the last 700 RPM. When I was first read this and read gearing I was thinking the gearing ratio that I was going to use. Yea I was WAY off...

In speed mode you have Pn158 (chenglish: The directive gain simulation speed) 300 rot/min/volt. With 300, 10V should give you 3000RPM

@@mrp19285 well this works if you run the servodrive in speed mode. In positioning mode what was done in this video is the way to go. Not sure how you use the servo as a spindle motor or as an axis servo

@@mrp19285 Any of you guys know what software to use for tuning. When I bought mine they said its factory tuned but how do they know my machines inertia. Think its got to be tuned on the machine or have I got it wrong. You get two similar drives, one with and one without the pc communications port. Mine have them so auto tuning would not be a problem.
