He's actually nailed the weight loss industry on the head. There's a whole economic system built around fast food and the weight loss industry, and everything they promote is designed to make your weight cycle. What he's saying is exactly what disability researchers and activists have been saying all along. It's all a symbiotic money grab.
Same with these sugar/diabetes control industries
Same with whole Pharma industry
Goes a bit deeper than that. Check the fineness of milled wheat flour from branded atta cos vs the whole wheat flour available in chakkis. No prizes for guessing which rotis are tastier btw. What's embarrassing is that people look at me as though I'm pregnant. [For example, I live in a society and I prefer wearing a nightie outside (i.e. outside my apartment but within the society). I wear nighties because I'm comfortable in it. But nightie becomes a criterion for others to confirm that I'm pregnant.]
But there's one positive aspect to this. I always get to sit comfortably in the bus no matter how crowded it is.
