I've just got me one of theses beauties... Off ebay... 😊 Oldies are always the goodies to practice on... Thank you for showing me how to use this whacky machine.. Soo looking forward to having a go... Hopefully I'll be having fun too....😊😍
you are so funny, had me laughing! You are so correct about this machine! I find this machine very inadequate and annoying, but I love it at the same time.
Search mini empisal videos, there are plenty results showing how to use this machine. Its not as hard to use as you make it. All hand manipulated stitches can be done, including tuck stitch. You don't have to keep pulling the fabric forward, thats what the fingers are doing. Also, search knitmaster 4500 videos, which is a similar machine. Some of the Russian ladies are amazing to watch. They are so fast and make some pretty amazing, complicated looking fabric.
Hi there! Thank you for your comment! Of course, I'm making a point a bit about this machine and following the instructions to the letter; I'm aware that there are shortcuts to it's use! Have you seen my 4500 video? I'm rather fond of it (the machine, not the video)
HELP ! Today I inherited one of these machines, Empisal EF68. It did not come with a manual and therefore have no clue where to even start. Have never used a knitting machine before.
Hi - I'm looking to get one of these - and I have the mini schnell stricker. My main question - does this machine have a sponge bar in it? The mini schnell stricker doesn't and I've heard this is the big sister - the same as the mini, except for the length & number needles.
So happy to get see this in model in action. I am now completely safe from ever adopting one, despite loving basic manual machines, vintage machines, and intarsia style machines. Adorable, but NOPE!
Help....how on earth do ya cast on... I'm slowly losing my marbles... 😜 Please.please.help me with this cute little machine... I hate to give up on it already... 😢
@@singlentendre Oh boy... Now you've got me stumped... I have no idea what I'm doing here.... I'm copying pretty much out of of manual... See where your red braid/ribbon? Is... Thats as fur as i get... I cannot get it to cast on... I even tried doing them one at a time...😞

Very fascinating! You learn something new everyday.
Beautiful.
I wish it was still possible to buy these. I fancy it more than Silver Reed.
I got mine from eBay. They're generally $150 - $250 US depending on the condition, and how eager the seller is to unload it. Good luck!

Can you tell me where I can find similar videos by Russian machine knitters? Getting a mini empisal and also was thinking of buying its big sister.

How do you start with the knitting at all. I do owe GB-1 but have no clue how to begin. Unfurtunnetly no manual with it. Could you help please...
There is a cast on video floating around I just watched it. The creator is called Roberta Rose Meads and she does a full tutorial. Good luck!

How long did it take you to get this?
is this still avaliible?
Sadly not, but I have a lot of other vintage machines if you are interested
@@singlentendre do you have a list of the ones you have
@@singlentendre do you have any of the machines that do knitting like this or those Russian zip ones ?
How can I start without cast on?
How do you mean? Without the cast on ribbon (you can't) or without doing an e-wrap (just lay in the first row like all the others)?
