They were an amazing band and great song writers. I never understood why they didn't get more attention.

Rock and Roller is simply awesome, Jazz Fusion Rock n Country Folk, one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. WOW......and to think that I saw them live in San Francisco back then and even ate lunch a few times at the same lunch counter with them. Those were the days.

Just a few short month's ago, I discovered these two exceptional and important talents from the greatest era in music while searching for more great stuff from the 60s - 70s.

Fabulous playing. I was just a little lagunitas school district rugrat in the 80s. So cool to see this.

p.s. Joy of Cooking opened the door... for many female artist bands...Chrissy Hynde... Joan Jett...the Go Gos...the Bangles...oh, I am forgetting so many artists from the seventies...this was an original almost all "girl band"....AND I correct myself... Linda Ronstadt, the great one... and Chrissy... were not a Girl Band... But Toni with Terri...were...
love them still. God Bless the Joy of Cooking. Gone but not forgotten.
Still simmering on low heat... for ages to come

Blast from the past. I remember the Joy of Cooking way back in my memory.

Thank you, I've always looked for them playing in a concert on YT and it is a real treat, a treasure. Thank you!

But they were playing more of others songs and their new songs with not the zip of the earlier Joy of Cooking songs. Still I thank you, lots of good moments. I would have been like folks in the audience calling for their old "Joy" songs, for sure.

Lynne Shapiro If they had played mostly "Joy of Cooking" songs, I would have become addicted to this video, so it is good they didn't. They shifted from good basic rock band tunes of the late '60's to the singer-songwriters stuff
of the 70's like that of Carly Simon, Carole King, Laura Nyro. Still Toni's keyboarding whiz is worth it.

Fabulous women musicians! Thanks for this upload! And by the way, that’s a real piano, not a keyboard!

i always liked the Joy of Cooking. But their country pop sound was very different than what most Bay Area bands were playing and I wonder if that's why they didn't get much attention?

So, this was not billed as the Joy of Cooking? Why not? And the lighting is terrible. Mostly dark. Bill Graham must not have been there.

@bobquack1 I think Joy of Cooking was officially done in '73 tho' Toni & Terry kept working with each other as a duo under their own names, which is what you have here.
On the cameras, they usually had two out in the audience - always black and white, never color (as you can see in all the Winterland footage posted on YT). Any lighting was stage lighting only so you got what you got...quality varies widely from show to show...
