I think it’s a regular thing to be surprised by, seeing how Harry Potter impacted so many other people’s lives, it’s kind of amazing that Daniel Radcliffe, who was at the very center of that universe, avoids it. Too many actors / Child actors never like watching themselves in shows, or movies they starred in. Quite sad really as that's what made them famous yet, they don't really want to look back on it or see themselves in the role.
I don’t think it’s due to ingratitude or anything, I think a lot of people are uncomfortable seeing themselves on film, especially as a child. I know a lot of actors feel embarrassed looking back on old work because they feel in hindsight that they could have acted better etc. It must be a weird experience
