Now I understand the context, yeah I can see why you feel that way. Looking at anything before the mid 2010s shows a lot of new stuff (that didn't exist at all before) cropping up, and you can use that to pinpoint roughly when a song or album came out a lot of the time. At some point we ended up reaching a spot where it wasn't about of pushing the limits of technology as much. Not that I'm trying to imply that there's a difference in skill or quality between new and old music at all.
