So I’ve watched most of your videos and even though I already knew how to do most of this stuff, I learned a few cool little tricks and/or different ways of doing stuff. Definitely worth the watch. Keep up the good videos!
Question. I have a brand new 750. 10mm set up. Flare .012-.013". My cases are getting stuck on the expander/powder through. Difficult upstroke until it lets go. Any ideas?
This is the Dillon hiccup. First thing I would do it polish the expander flare. You may be able to back the flare off a bit as long as you are not shaving bullets. I am going to go out on a limb and say you are probably wet tumbling. These phenomena only really appeared to me when I started wet tumbling. If you call Dillon they will tell you your brass is too clean. If I dry tumble with corn cob and some kind of polish it’s virtually gone. I have heard there are companies now making a powder die with a different profile to address this issue as well. Using a good coat of one shot lube in a plastic bag making sure it dries also reduces the frequency as well. I hope this helps.
@@SquatchReloaded Just wondering if you can throw a name or two out on which companies are making the new profile powder funnel that possibly addresses this issue. I'm just getting started with reloading 9mm/straight wall after doing .223 for years and noticed this issue so I stopped until I can have some sort of consistency. I started with brand new cases which after doing some reading will dry tumble. But I will say I also had some range brass I purchased that I dry tumbled that I used to set up the powder die/flare and they essentially did the same thing. You also mentioned polishing the powder funnel, what should I use for that process? This has been extremely irritating to use mild language.
Double Alpha makes a powder funnel that goes with their bullet feeder that supposedly helps the issue. I personally have not used one of them. I have also found that if you make your flare to large it is a contributor to this as well. In regards to polishing I used some rubbing compound and a buffer wheel on a dremel.
very cool good info on checking the flare

@@SquatchReloaded Thank you very much! Yes I am wet tumbling. I was thinking about some lube but wasn't sure. That's great info.
@@SquatchReloaded I was able to sort out the issue. Used some one shot like you recommended and it worked perfectly. Thanks again
