I found out after my stroke and 12 years later, I enjoy museums and day excursions with my children that are no longer children. I have a Boothang that we enjoy each other’s company. All isn't lost ladies. By the way I currently get around on a cane but I'm still a woman, mother, friend and sister.. .My life, I'm still living and I'm enjoying getting it together. 😌
All that partying and having fun in your 20s go by real quick. People don't realize how fast your 20s and 30s go by. I've learned that in my late 20s, as a 46 year old black man I had to plan my life ahead of time so that I wouldn't be struggling in my 40s and 50s. Thankfully I took my own advice.

That's what they do. I met my husband in my early twenties and we are now 50 still going strong. Always cater to his needs because he's a good man, husband and father. We are truly a team. I used to be called a "white girl, stuck up, act like I'm better" when I was young. It really hurt my feelings that I was being shamed because I came from a normal, middle-class, 2 parent home. And being real, many of those who spoke about me that way were black men. That was back when being unique was looked at as a bad thing and we were all supposed to act a certain way. Also, a lot of it I think was the area too because I would go down south to visit family and the black women acted a lot like I did. Messed up I had to go through that and pray my daughter doesn't.
I got made fun of and called all that too but it was buy other black girls at my school who I figured out real quick were jealous. Just teach you daughter to be an inependent thinker so she doesn't care what people think. That's what I did with mine. She unfortunately had to learn this early. But she's good now.
