@@TizzTv nah he didn't finesse his way out, he finessed his way in. The deal with Russ was a partnership deal, not a signed under the label deal. So he retains rights to everything hes already done and will do in the future, they only have access to what he does with them during their contracted period. Most these rappers aren't financially literate so they get a big advance, and blow it on material ish... then when the music doesn't recoup they complain about how they're trapped by the label.

  • @saintblades

Things turned around for Neyo, I want to shake Tango's hand for that 🏆 Record deals have always been slave contracts. Debt slaves. The days of 'Ne-Yo's making it to the top despite it all are over. As if that's not enough, they control what you do, what music you do, who you work with, when and how your music comes out.. despite you footing the bill for everything. If you work with their Satanic agendas you will get a break, and profit. It's simple. Lucifer is the master of music. God made it so. He has enslaved us all, knowing that music and singing was created for worship. Be independent! Stay independent.

U know how hard it is to make a million dollars? You see the highlights on TH-cam and ig all day and think that luxury life is a given. So realizing u were almost there and not knowing if u will ever get an opportunity again going to a minimal wage job interview can break u.

I feel how annoyed he is as a Producer / Song Writer and Studio Engineer, this why im doing my "entire Album myself" because once someone is messing with your music the Arist vision is destroyed!!!!
    Might take people longer
    to
Produce it, Record it, and and Engineer it themselves under your own label, in the end
$200,000 on your own is better than $400,000 as an "employee"

My thing is, why are all these artists steady giving their woes about shady deals INSTEAD OF teaching modern age music business in the best interests of artists. They like to big up the modern days vibes of indie artistry that steer away from label deals...but don't give their modern day formulas. They mostly see all of us in the same lane as a threat so they don't normally give those jewels away. Days of old industry business doesn't land like these artists think they do

Because almost no independent artist can really afford to put up the funds to get a project off the ground

@Metro6am You're obviously not in the same attitude or era of independent artists that I and many others are apart of. This era is about 15 years deep now where indie artists don't need record labels, record deals, or high end distribution. Tell Mac Miller from 15 yrs ago that same comment and he'd prove your comment wrong then or in his last yrs as an artist. Tell Cassie Ventura back 18 yrs ago when she blew up hard enough off of 1 album that she blew up even more as a model, and transitioning into modeling from music STILL isn't trendy for female music artists to venture into. She broke all the rules independently back then. There's so many independent approaches that require little to no cash, a mic, a phone, and some time. Doesn't cost money to craft Ur own marketing approach or just copy and steal somebody else's model that's already working in independent artists. British rock, psychedelic indie rock, Hip Hop, Hip Pop, New Wave, and so many genres are blowing up in spite of Ur assumption that ALMOST ALL indie artists are too broke to be artists. I think maybe your heart for making music is broken. Try having fun 1st, then figure out the business minus your baseless assumptions. I just bet you've not heard of today's indie artists killing it in Web3 because you sound like you're still stuck in the lazy era of Web2. And if you've never heard of web3 or no clue of whut Web2 is....then U really need to do Ur homework before U make replied comments like U just did

@@WhoIsRevolution Are you making significant money from your music? As in living from it? My distribution advanced me 20K for a 5 track EP last year and it was just about enough to get things moving. I bet Cassie and Mac Miller had A LOT of money pumped into them lol.

I don't understand how that isn't illegal (to use someone money without their consent). Only in the music industry can you basically "scam" people out of their own money. Insane.
