Great recipe - so glad there are no corn based ingredients, as with so many other recipes! We used tempered chocolate, for a glossy more stable chocolate shell so that they wouldn’t melt with body heat when handling them.
Yes Sweet Lady they did...I have found over the years that my dad who either has everything he wants or can buy anything he wants....wants nothing but is most pleased with a little home made something he can eat....so these were perfect.. Thank You...and Happy New Years:)
Perfect! I’m trying to learn some new candies to make for Easter this year. I’m going to try this. Thank you for teaching me something new! I make cooking videos too! It’s a pleasure to learn from other talented creators like you! I hope we can learn more from each other!
I like the consistency at 2:10...it looks pipeable to fill chocolates for a gooey center....yum...and love that the recipe is adaptable for flavors. I have bunch of Lorann Candy Oils that would be perfect for this...thanks for the video
New viewer san antonio, tx looking for a candy that mom made and it had coconut nuts like chocolate cover cherries. but just divide it and use different flavors. and dip in chocolate
I bet they would, and you wouldn't have to soak them first because they're already in syrup. You could maybe use a bit less sugar somehow too, but I'm not sure how. I bet it'll still taste yummy if you don't.
It should be. Just be careful, and take all the same precautions you normally would to avoid the dangers of freezing safe-to-eat food before eating it 🙄
@@alicejaehne8107 You could, and could even omit, but it won't be as strong of a cherry flavor, and might even taste like something else, but it'll probably be yummy.
I really liked that you used dried cherries instead of maraschino cherries. However, I wonder if there isn't a way to do this with less sugar? Meanwhile, I'll like and subscribe. Happy New Year, dear!!!
I store these in a sealed container for about 2 weeks at room temperature. Or you can store them longer in the refrigerator in a sealed container or freeze them. I hope that helps.
Nobody on youtube ever tells people these must be kept int he fridge after 24 to 48 hrs of sitting out without breeding tons of deadly bacteria!!! UNCOOKED condensed milk!!! NO NO NO!!!
No, it is not necessary to chill condensed milk for 48 hours before serving. You can use it to make creme centers for chocolates; you can use it straight from the can as the high sugar content acts as a natural preservative, keeping the mixture stable at room temperature while you work with it is not a problem, and also before serving.

Can I use those maraschino cherries that come in the jar in place of the rehydrated cherries?
Yes and skip the rehydrating of them. Just chop and add them to the recipe.
Thank you for this recipe, just in time for Christmas ⛄🎄😋🥰 ... For all us chocoholics !

I need to try making these look so good a easy to make
They are really good. I'd love to hear how they turn out for you.
I love this thank you but I want to make maple creams which has just the liquid flavor unless you know otherwise! Any thoughts?
Will maraschino cherries work in this recipe.
I bet they would, and you wouldn't have to soak them first because they're already in syrup. You could maybe use a bit less sugar somehow too, but I'm not sure how. I bet it'll still taste yummy if you don't.
Yes it will, just drain off as much liquid as you can first.
Looks yummy thanks for sharing
You're welcome.
Is this compound chocolate? Or chocolate that needs to be tempered?
This is a chocolate candy coating. If you are using chocolate you'll need to temper it. I hope that helps.
Awesome thanks
Welcome 😊
Nice sweet
Can they be eaten frozen? Thanks
I haven't tried that before but I'm sure they could be.
Sounds yummy!
It should be. Just be careful, and take all the same precautions you normally would to avoid the dangers of freezing safe-to-eat food before eating it 🙄
Whats the name of the cherries ? Where do I get them? Never heard of dried cherries
Alice I make my own dried cherries but I've also seen them in the dried fruit section of the grocery store. I hope that helps.
@@frugalfamilyhome thank you so much, So glad I found this channel . Can I substitute the cherrie flavoring with something?

Storage information?
I store these in a sealed container for about 2 weeks at room temperature. Or you can store them longer in the refrigerator in a sealed container or freeze them. I hope that helps.
Good recipe but you should melt a chocolate in a double boiler.
Oh my god these are amazing, instead of cherry flavor I used maple flavor. And oh my god maple cherry creams are amazing!
Good to know.
Couldn’t find the recipe in the link you shared. Why can’t you just post?
