While the fort was still lost, it was the rise of the black priors, which in a way explains some mechanics of the gamemode, and a good chunk of story.

More of the Knights’ defenses were broken by the vikings lead by Jafnar (I can’t remember how they spelt his name), Knight Commander Badefol was nearly killed but Vortiger appeared, and slaughtered the highlander who he had injured two decades prior by slicing open his thigh. With the vikings pushed back, Badefol had Vortiger thrown into a cell with a thief named Aguri. Aguri knew who he was and kept her distance. A hawk appeared which he spoke to in latin before it flew off. At that point the Daimyo of the samurai appeared and launched his attack against the weakened knights. The cell wall began to crumble at which point, allowing Vortiger to regain his gear (shown in his original trailer) before stepping out into the battle. As he emerged, a flock of hawks were seen as more Black Priors emerged (the different “helmets” each represent a different Black Prior under his command). With their help they slaughtered the samurai. Badefol then saw additional Black Prior forces approaching and was hopeful that they would win, until he saw that covering their trebuchet and ballistae were the mangled corpses of vikings, samurai, and even many of those who served under Badefol during the initial attack. He tries to kill Vortiger, but is cut down, stabbed through the heart, and impaled on a pike. His lawbringer fell by a Black Prior from what I can tell. A female warden who was sent to investigate found piles of bodies, dismembered, impaled, gutted, and burning, the harbor’s waters red with their blood. It mentions something about Vortiger appearing behind her and saying some phrase, but it is unclear if he kills her, though.

I nearly got the effect for Every single person. Whenever You get the effect, your character Looks 100 times more Menacing than before especially the execution

So basically Orochi and Highlander ganked BP after the LB got killed. BP went nuts.
