Jim died much too soon, it saddens me to think of all the great music he would have made. I am grateful that we still get to share in a small part of his genius!!!!
Another great folk rock singer songwriter who we lost so young. This is the music I grew up with. Unique storyteller & ballad singer. He touches your soul. He had a lot of great hits in his short career. "Time In A Bottle", "I Got A Name", "Workin' At The Car Wash Blues," "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song", "Roller Derby Queen", "Rapid Roy", "Lover's Cross" etc.
If you haven't heard "I've Got a Name" that should certainly be up there near the top of the list. More lyrical bliss, if you can handle it.
I love this song. My step dad used to sing Jim around the house all the time. Takes me back.
That's how I knew he was in a good mood, if he was singing Leroy Brown, or Don't Mess Around with Jim
Jim was so good. Outstanding story teller.
My best old ex-friend Ray.
I love that lyric so much. The way it rolls off his tongue is magical.
What gets me about "Operator" is that it's in a major key. The lyrics and phrasing just intensify the heartbreak.
Croce was able to tell a story in a straightforward way where no one was to blame. As I have grown older, I realize that bad things "just happen" even if I do everything just "right."
Jim Croce had that sense of world weariness that made him seem like he was talking just to you.
both Jim and his guitarist Murray both died in the plane crash in 1973 ...wow 50 years ago...”time in the bottle” a great song he wrote for his young son....
Those dual guitars with Jim’s voice - beautiful
Time is a Bottle still makes me misty eyed. He was a great story teller.
I have to go listen to that now. That was such an amazing song
One of the best songs ever! His voice, the lyrics, the instruments, just beautiful. Can't go wrong with Jim Croce!
Real talent. Beautiful.
We have all been there jim you are missed
Jim was a great artist. His music is timeless!
RIP JC & Maury. So much great music.
If you have't reacted to it already, "Time in a Bottle", is fantastic!!!!!
Betrayed by your best friend and your love is a hard one to swallow.
Head shot that’s what that is lol
You're outdoing yourself today ! Everything you've played today has been awesome ! A lot of my favorite songs ! Nice wide variety as well ✌️
Thank you
Lovely song! RIP Jim Croce
🎧 💓 🎶
Jim Croce is one of the best at telling a story in a short song.Loved his music. He is missed.Gone waaay too soon.
Check out "I'll have to say I love You in a Song",and "Time in a bottle".
I love the way this song just rolls and flows.
I'm talking to homeboys, huh. I'm very smart like the song HOMABOY Eric. A. R Ic church, Hey, does the song homeboy on the video? It's really good i'm at church doing a homeboy hey is a homeboy
Oh, let me say some more about brother church arrived? I'll call him little dirty. Early dirty Arnie Hazel smoothie how you got a SoundCloud spurring stain spurringsteen. I thought i'd supply any soccer woman. Love Spring stain by Darty irony.
Did you ever hear of Blake Blake Shelton? Hey, does a song with dry sanchez? I got a video like Shelton tureside concert, a video for homehill belly. I know a song called hillbilly brother
Love CROCE
Box#10, great song about Jim’s troubles in NY. True story according to Jim’s wife.
time in a bottle should be next
Great reaction! But Jim is not sharing his own story of heartbreak -- he's sharing the heartbreak of others when he was in an army training camp where once a week, the trainees were allowed to make a phone call on a pay phone, so they would all line up to place calls. This song is the story of what Jim heard OTHERS experience when they called girlfriends only to find out that they were now shacking up with someone else. The same military camp is where Jim met someone who inspired the character Leroy Brown. While Jim did write songs about his own experiences too, he often wrote the stories of others, and in doing so, show how he connected emotionally to those around him, which is one reason his songs connect so much with us.
Just a natural artist. Candle in the wind extinguished way, way, to early. Just hart breaking.
Jim, Harry, Gordon, Billy...such amazing song writers
It really does take you back to your own place in time when you were going through something. Somebody had to go through it before we did or we wouldn't have these gems to sort of get us through it. Music is so amazing that way. Fantastic reaction Biz! I really appreciate your appreciation of the song and the artist.
Biz! Been absent for minute, getting caught back up. Love the selection of tunes you have been reviewing! Jim is one of my favorites. So much talent. I see people hitting time in a bottle . Great romance tune. Don't mess around with Jim is another anthem like Leroy Brown..
Welcome back
Photographs and memories is a good one
Thanks, Biz! the songs you've been reviewing lately are the soundtrack to my high school days.. yep, I'm old... I really appreciate your reactions...
Glad you been enjoying the videos fam 🙏🏿🙏🏿
@@watchbizmatik Keep it going... :)
Wow, the first 45 I got as a 6 year old was I Got A Name.. Jim was so freaking amazing.
"I've Got A Name". Just something about the song that puts you in a mood.
My favorite Jim Croce song was" Time in a Bottle". Good one!
Time in a Bottle 😊❤
Loved this song and story from the moment I first listened to it back in the early to mid 1970’s.
His best album and his biggest hit. Another song I like from this album is Lovers Cross.
Photographs and memories is another heartbreaking story song.
Love it. Hit You Don't Mess Around with Jim and Roller Derby Queen...😎😎
And my favorite, Rapid Roy That Stockcar Boy!
I was hiking in the mountains of Utah when Jim Croce, only 30 years old was killed on September 20th, 1973 in a single-engine
plane crash. So talented, a great storyteller and musician, but he went way too soon. RIP Jim, your music still lives on.

Love your channel 👌👍🏻
Another beautiful song by Jim Croce il
🎵 Time in a bottle 🎵
You're gonna love this one too Keep the good work Biz 👌👍🏻👏
Thanks fam
Jim Croce is one of those singers I wish we could see how many more great songs he would do! Not a lot of bad songs if any by Jim! My favorite song which people really don't react to is "Dreamin' Again!"
That's Maury Muehleisen on that sweet guitar accompanying Jim. Sadly he died in the same plane crash with Jim.
Love Jim Croce. Died way too young. Time In A Bottle is a great one.
Photographs and Memories, please!
CLASSIC
COMPLETE BANGERRRR, TOTAL FYYYRRR BIZ! 👍😊AND THOSE LYRICS, VERYYYYY DEEP! 😮
Love this song. He’s still missed.💔
Do THE STEADILY DEPRESSIN', LOW DOWN, MIND MESSIN', WORKIN' AT THE CARWASH BLUES!
I think about the love that I thought would save me.
Like a knife to the heart with that lyric. I lose it every time.
Biz, my main man. Reacting to my favorite bands. You can't go wrong with the 70s. 👌
👌🏿👌🏿
You’ve gotta listen to his other great song “I’ve got a name”
❤❤
Jim had so many hits its incredible. Roller Derby Queen is a good one.
The idea of reaction videos has always intrigued me. That said, I really enjoyed witnessing progression of how this song impacted you. What a joy to see you singing along by the end. I have not yet explored your channel, so forgive me if you have already experienced a listen to Don Mclean’s “Empty Chairs.” Don’s lyrics are as poetic as Jim’s and worth a moment to reflect.
No way bro reacted to this song. Though i was the only one who listened to this banger
He was an amazing artist! Some bangers you should check out are Rapid Roy and Roller Derby Queen!
His son AJ Croce also sings. He has videos, check him out sometime.
❤
love it!
did you do his Time In A Bottle. that one always got to me because he died not too long after that
Great reaction, Biz. F'm both is indeed the bottom line.
This song is maybe inspired from when Jim was in basic training, and you only get to make a brief call home. Thought I heard it that way.
❤❤❤😢😢❤❤❤❤
Box #10....
My thoughts exactly. I hope they both pull a hammy ! Lol
😂😂😂
For a totally different sound from Jim, try "Salon and Saloon".
more Jim Croce (he doesn't have a bad song). Maybe more old Paul Simon, Emmy Lou Harris, Donna Summer, Louis Armstong, Lyle Lovett, Nora Jones, old Police, Townes Van Zand...
Time In a Bottle
LOL at F both of them! Yep!
😂😂
Time in a Bottle
I saw someone review a live performance of this recently. They played it exactly like this, but somehow it hit harder.
Are you saying the live version is better?
😢
YOU COULD ACTUALLY DO THE THE TITLE TRACK TO THIS GREATEST HITS ALBUM BIZ 😊( PHOTOGRAPHS AND MEMORIES )👍BUT ANYYYYYY CROCE IS AWESOME TO ME!
Time for some fun from Jim⁉️ Roller Derby Queen , aaannnddd have you listened to You Don't Mess Around With Jim 🤟🎸🎸🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡 WHO DEY ✌️😎
If you want a completely different vibe from Jim, checkout “5 short minutes”
Lol, F both of them! That's what I said the first time I heard this song.
Payphones cozt a dime then but if you called the operator the phone would give you back your dime
📞 💰💙📞💰📞💙💙💙
Lovers Cross
Jim Croce released 2 records in a year then tragically died. He was so good that there was a greatest hits album from 2 albums. Insanely good writing.
