Living for this girl she's by far my fave of the 2016 silkstones. Very Las Vegas queen 1960s..Love the black gloves with the pink, sassy touch. I wish she wasn't articulated but oh well, stylistically I love her look!

Suresh, so excited to comment on your review! I picked up my package today, but before opening I got a notification that you were reviewing her! So I had to open her myself before I watched your review. Well, I feel like I was WITH YOU in person cause I could look at my doll as you were describing her! That was fun! Was also excited about getting the catalog, nice surprise. I have to say that yes, she is gorgeous and she has a lot of great qualities, but I am one of those pesky collectors who compares present dolls to past ones, and this doll is not the same quality as past BFMC gown dolls (of which I have many). First and foremost is the organza trim that you mentioned. It really bothers me that the seam is showing and that the trim does not lay flat at the neckline. I am not a deboxer so I will not be able to fix that. I had seen this comment online, but it did not prevent me from ordering. I was prepared but it's still a disappointment. Also, MY train is attached to the dress an inch from the bottom. It seams (pun intended!) that yours is not like that. I suppose I should cut it but am afraid the holes will show. Last, I agree about the gloves not being satin and the shoes not black as advertised. ON THE POSITIVE, her face is insane and her hair is beautiful and perfectly styled. No issues above the neck! Finally, LOVED how you compared her to the Baroness in SOM. My 2nd favorite character for the fashions alone! Also, the Captain's name is Georg (or George, not sure of spelling), not Gaylord. Just thought I'd be a stickler about that too. Anyway, really enjoyed sharing the discovery of this doll with you and another great review! Thanks for indulging me.

I always thought it was Gaylord! Omg wow. Thank you for telling me!! Second, Baroness was my IDOL growing up. Apart from SheRa and Barbie (duh, obviously). Third, so glad you got to open your GG along w/me, how fun! Fourth, I agree that the newer dolls of late are just not at the same quality level as years past. I don't know why this is happening but it is, indeed, a bummer. Also, my doll's train was basted together and although the basting thread did leave small holes when I first removed them, I worked the holes out by gently massaging the fabric so the fibers could rearrange themselves :) I steamed her whole gown, ironed out the full train and pressed the neckline trim down and I have to say, it looks like a different outfit! I have one of those irons with a small triangle hot plate, but have not tried it. In any case, it would be interesting to see how you do it. That dress reminds me of the baby pink Oscar de la Renta dress that Lea Michelle wore for the Golden Globes in 2015. It's not exactly the same, but there are some similarities. And you are soooo right about the shoes, they should be in black! Great review, Suresh (as always)!! :)

The pink shoes she’s wearing right now was a big fashion DON’T :) @tinman721, it's practically impossible to be original in fashion, especially when it come to haute couture gowns. Everything has been done before. All you can do is get inspired by some amazing creation and change some details to make it more personal :)
What I love the most about this girl are the two colors - that fabulous pink and that amazing platinum-grayish-lavenderish hair. Was wondering if you might give me a tip about the back of the gown. I tried undoing both snaps but it seems the area around the bottom snap is sewn tightly shut. I'm hesitant to use my scissors or yank too hard. Never saw this before and wondered if it was some kind of basting thing. Have you ever seen this before?
Yikes...so one of your snaps doesn't come undone? It sounds like it may be a small defect in the sewing. My doll's snaps weren't difficult to unsnap. Have you tried using a small pair of scissors, placing the blade between the positive and negative snap and giving it a little jiggle to pull apart the snap? Sometimes, the thread makes the snaps impossible to pull apart. I've had a few dolls dress snaps that were sewn so tightly that the actual snap needed to be yanked apart with some sort of metal object. Let me know if that helps! xoxo

Hello! Yes, the stitching on the organza trim should definitely have been between the two fabric panels. Or at the very lease, behind the neckline. It does look much better after I pressed it down. But she is DEFINITELY a gorg doll and I love her! I think you would, too. xoxo Suresh
Ok so I just took a look at the doll...and the neckline trim which connects down to the rossette is sewn over the bustier portion of the gown because it falls in such a way that would make it impossible to sew from within. I knew there had to be a good reason but somehow, I overlooked it. Maybe because I was so excited about her overall and distracted by the pink shoes. Anyway, there we go :)

TresemmeDolls the edition size on the back of the box is the edition size of that doll , its not the label , its because the back of the box doesn't match up with the edition size of the website , its not the first time this has happened ....
I am Jun if u take any gold label doll they say 10,000 as this is the maximum number from the label, all gold label boxes say gold label no more then 10,000 world wide so it is just the maximum number made in the label as all my gold label dolls and all other gold label dolls say 10,000 as it is just the maximum number

Yea I agree. I think they're trying to compete with other fashion dolls on the market that are articulated.
