    Justice Winslow is a big example why young players drafted into the NBA should be given 4-5 years before they are called a bust. It’s a big reason why I haven’t given up on Fultz yet.

    Justise Winslow is becoming what I thought he would be. Really wanted the Knicks to draft him but we got KP so can’t complain. I thought Winslow would be a thunder/first year rocket James Harden type player. I think he’s finally reaching what I envisioned him being as an absolute beast at driving to the paint and being a problem to guard, happy for him. The harden comparison makes total sense, lefty and good at drawing and finishing through contact.

    • @draspen
      @draspen 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The Harden comparison doesn't make no sense at all. Harden has the most effective ball handling in the league and an elite shooter, I just don't it on Winslow's ceiling. Winslow was protected to be a defensive stopper with mediocre offense, Harden was the opposite of that.

    • @ospinra
      @ospinra 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Don Saizo Winslow is still early in his career and I’m pretty sure James Harden is teaching his prime about now. Or maybe even in his prime. Winslow still has a lot ahead of him and is looking good so I think the comparison makes a little sense. As they both have great offensive game.

    • @draspen
      @draspen 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely like Winslow more as our PG than J-Rich. I love J-Rich but he needs to pick his shots better and I think Winslow generally is much better at running the offense than J-Rich. You also get someone much more physical at the point and a better defender than say Tyler Johnson or Dion Waiters. I feel like it might be our time to try and move Dragic on for some picks or a young piece or something. Not that I dislike Dragic at all but I don't like this idea of staying as a 7-10 seed, not having good draft odds but also not being a genuine competitor either and we need to clear cap space if we want a shot at signing big name free agents.

    Spo tried to play a 6'4 dude with no shot as a stretch four and, shocker, it didn't work. Justise was forced into this role because Goran went down and the rest of our ball handlers are terrible PG's and turnover prone. Thankfully it's worked out perfectly for Justise.

Justise is strong and will fight on defense but sometimes it doesn't matter.

      He plays big, did it in college playing the 4 spot a lot next to Jahil, but he measured at 6'4 1/2 at the combine. 2:38 true. they both also dont have a legit position. we just call them "wing players". they're put at whatever position they can guard, not necessarily what matches their skillset
    like d wade plays like a 6'4 point forward. and windslow is like a 6'5 two way slasher.

    I can't believe Justice Winslow is only 22! Feels like he's been around for a long time already. It just gives me that much more confidence in his ability to improve, because I'm 26 and I'm definitely not done growing as a person... so we can definitely cut these young guys some slack and let them grow as players.

      Lonzo defense wasn't near what Winslow did Winslow locked up Kawhi, Paul George, Kyle Lowry etc in his rookie season Lonzo did none of that and he wasn't even the 3rd option on offense so this is something that required context.

    Winslow is a prime example of how the NBA is ran miserably. No way was he ready to come out after his freshman year. However, now if a player stays longer, the NBA picks your game apart and wonders how good you really are since you didn't come out early. So a player pretty has to come out if their stock is high. That's whether they are really ready or not. You can't blame a player for leaving early. The NBA created this issue. Sometimes it seems like the NBA scouts are doing no more than following the hype the media gives a player.

Once he puts both hands on the ball he took two more steps and dunked it.

    This Heat roster is showing a lot of upside.
    Their young core of Adebayo, Josh Richardson, Winslow, Tyler Johnson and more recently, Derrick Jones Jr are great young pieces to build with. The franchise is great at developing young talent, especially from their G League team.
    This team is one all star away from competing in the top of the east. I can see the likes of Jimmy Butler or Kyrie joining the Heat should their respective current situations with their team not pan out.
    I see the Heat making some big moves this offseason as soon as Wade and U.D. Retire. They have to offload the ballooning contracts of Dion Waiters, Whiteside, and James Johnson.
