We subsisted and gathered from the land around Nome during the time of Alaska still a territory and a newly formed state into the late sixties . then Becoming a statehood and land claims ruined it all. The simple life in Northern Alaska. The government came into the state and bought all the US government agencies into Alaska.The US should just have left Alaska as a territory and let it truly be a Last Frontier.

I am only into this video two minutes and really enjoying it with the soft relaxing music you put with it. Such serenity . Takes me back to my growing up days in camps surrounding Nome, Ak. . Spent school months in Nome but rest of the time , we were subsisting and harvesting off the land for the winter. I have watched many videos of movies made in the China/Asian countries. I always felt so connected to the way of life with medicinal cures and lifestyle out in the open. Come to find out I am 33 percent Eu-Asian in my ancestry DNA sample I sent in. 53 percent was my Inupiat blood line. My ancestors go way back into the 1800 here in alaska and maybe even longer. Would love to experience a place like this with warmer weather.

I'm glad and also thankful that I was born and lived in the province though I had many chances to choose to live in the city along with my work as a public school teacher. Here, after a tiresome day from my work, I used to spend my time to cultivate and grow local veggies for my household consumption especially during weekends rather than going to somewhere else. It is an activity that I can release work stress and regain my strenght. I love this kind of life so simple and you don't need to rush unlike in the cities where everything seems restless.

I'm glad and also thankful that I was born and lived in the province though I had many chances to choose to live in the city along with my work as a public school teacher. Here, after a tiresome day from my work, I used to spend my time to cultivate and grow local veggies for my household consumption especially during weekends rather than going to somewhere else. It is an activity that I can release work stress and regain my strenght. I love this kind of life so simple and you don't need to rush unlike in the cities where everything seems restless.

Ang sarap ng buhay sa bukid or the country side. You can find fresh vegetables from the garden then cook it immediately. You can also eat fruits direct from the fruit trees.

Hello! Greetings from Thailand..an OFW here currently teaching in Thailand. Stumbled upon your vid while touring around the YT world. Your channel reminds me of Gayyem Ben, nevertheless, it's good to see that younger Pinoy nowadays are appreciating the importance of living in the countryside. Eto narin ang hinahangad kung buhay as a matured bachelor OFW. Biblically this is what also the Lord has been wishing for everyone to live the boondocks life, away from the badly influential of the metropolitan and secularism. Just my two cents lang!

Those who have been living in the countryside from the beginning, have been surviving all throughout their lives, and God didn't leave them. I fully understood what you're saying, but I had enough of the metropolitan and if this what the Lord is leading me out, then be I would be mightily happy.
