Same here mate, I had a 265 that drove me up the wall when I started out thanks to the "light tension" mentality. It's not about light tension, it's about the *right* tension. They're a breeze when you actually know what you're doing.
Tri-Circle can be quite evil on occasion (compared with Masterlock) as they are quite roughly made, which can make them a little temperamental. Once you get used with their unreliable build quality they aren't usually much bother
Nah, master locks are very common over here too. These aren't as high quality in terms of construction although if I'm honest they are harder to pick than a 4 pin master. But yeah if these only had 4 pins of course they'd be about the same. Master have the pro series which you can put a proper core into, whereas these are all just standard brass junk. Pretty heavy and they are solid brass, but I don't think they're good locks. They sell these for like £12 in shops as well which is a complete rip-off IMO.
A lot of people say they have security pins in them and I've even seen pics of them that have been gutted with crudely made spools, but I've never felt anything like that in them. They always just felt standard to me.
I have a local discount store aka 99 cents store aka all made in China crap that sells a Tri-Sonic all brass body padlock. Haven't bothered to waste money on it but I may just for curiously as they also have a copy of the American 700 lol.
Nice one, Sol. Always a pleasure to watch.
Great picking, especially for a Monday morning!

DrBint thought my first Tri Circle had security pins in it until I managed to empty a load of crap out of it after that it was fine
