Sometimes focusing so much on theory can really take away from enjoying and actually making some good music. Moveable simple shapes are so important. The quicker you can grab things with less thinking the better. I’ve always liked this style of music so this is awesome for me I really appreciate the content. Also that’s a beautiful guitar sounds great.
You better, play every day and I promise you in 2 months you'll turn around and be shocked how far you've come. Don't even have to play that long every day. 5 mins if you're not feeling it but hours if youre feeling inspired

Can you do a video over advanced strum patterns? I have most of them down but I cant get down that jot you did at 2:08. I think in drum patterns too but i cant get the up downs in a rhythm
You’re just missing the strum patterns which also have tons of variation but other than that you’ve covered 95% and I love this style of dissecting the music keep up the good work compa horchata 👍🏼
True tons of different strumming patterns. To be honest I never struggled with picking up strumming and rhythm so I find it really hard to teach in an effective way. Still working on that cuz I get there are people out there that could benefit from that. Any suggestions would be appreciated 🤝🏻
@@SethCottengim Just as a way of thinking about it, maybe try teaching/explaining the patterns as if you're describing exactly what you're doing to a blind person. I'd definitely like to see some strumming pattern content too 😎

Since I’m just beginning should I keep my tune in standard? Or change the tune to D?
I'd say if you can pick up songs by ear play in D otherwise ya stay in standard tuning for now until you start picking up the patterns of a scale
