I've seen PW button making in person from many different artists, but you are the first that does not start the build off of a base around the shank. You way seems so much easier. LOVE your buttons Jodie! Your handmade canes are amazing. I've also witnessed one of those made by an artist in WI. It started as a huge, maybe 4-5" diameter cylinder out of many many different colored rods and about 3" (?) high, rolled and encased in blue frit many times, and then was pulled before our eyes ... about 20 feet. It was a sailboat. What a LOT of work! Not to mention special tools and equipment. I tried hot glass in a flame once. I'm much too impatient. I will leave that to you artists and just buy them!
I love all of your buttons, Jodie. This was really interesting to watch. Always looking forward to your next project in the amazing women series.
