EDIT: What I said here is wrong. Thanks to @slightlyevolved for the correction The batteries didn't leak because they're carbon zinc batteries, not alkaline. Alkaline batteries are very prone to leaking, whereas many other types, including carbon zinc, are not. This is why products that ship with preinstalled batteries usually don't use alkaline.
This is not correct. In fact, since the cylinder of a carbon-zinc battery is the zinc and used as part of the chemical reaction itself they are MORE prone to leakage. It was actually one of the marketing advantages when alkaline batteries were making major inroads into the market in the late 70s though the mid 80s, they were less likely to leak (along with the much higher energy output). In fact some manufacturers disingenuously touted alkaline as "leak free."

I'm thinking the previous owner knew exactly what they were doing. Gets crappy player, puts great sonG on it, uses it to play the song once, and then back in the box it went. "Did you use the MP3 I got you for christmas?" "Yeah, I loved the sound, it's really great!". No need for lying.
I had one of that in 2004, and used a cassette adapter for it in my 95 Civic. Also had a very old Discman in the car. One day, after arriving at a mall with friends, one forgot to lock his side of the door (no power locks) and I forgot to double check. When we returned, turns out a dumbass thief stole the old Discman and threw the mp3 player on the carpet thinking it's worthless 😹🤦♂️
@@LGKvideos it did happen. useless mall security then made us wait for an hour at the office, then they just concluded they can’t do anything else. discman had sentimental value though, so it sucked.
No corrosion is because those batteries are carbon-zinc "flashlight" batteries that don't have as much capacity as alkaline cells but they don't corrode. I've seen them even from the 50s, when they were cased with cardboard, that are not corroded.
Why do I keep seeing this incorrect information constantly being regurgitated? Carbon Zinc batteries DO leak. In fact, they are MORE prone to leaking. Hell, the zinc is the actual casing so as the battery discharges, it literally eats the casing away. If it's not thick enough it literally releases the electrolyte all over. One of the big touted features of alkaline batteries was how much more leak resistant they were. One thing to note is that the OG were Zinc-Carbon, but what most people refer to as Zinc Carbon and was popular before alkaline were Zinc-Chloride. Pretty much the same thing, just a bit more advanced recipe.

Bought KZ ZSN PRO Xs with my £15 government voucher. They buzzed a lot because I don't have a good DAC and I can't really afford one rn. Ended up returning it :/
They have a low bottom sensitivity threshold and pretty low resistance. If I plug them in my phone at the same time as the charger, I can hear the electricity running.
I love how you praise the fruity MP3 players that also required a fruity non-standard cable and shitty additional software to fill it up with music hahaha MP3 players and PCs distributed by Apple are the worst 🌈

I buy 'em at my local dollar stores to leave in the remote controls I use three times a year. Very handy to have around.

I wasnt expecting to hear “the lick” today.
Thanks dank.
You can use MMC and SD cards interchangeably. Pop it into a regular SD reader and it should work.
MMC in SD yes, but SD in MMC not really.
Oh hey, didn't know you were a dankpods fan!

Would be (mildly) interesting (to me) to take the card out and see if they put Muse on that or the internal memory.
Him: "ugh how do I turn it on? I need the manual!!"
Literally everyone: "hold play/pause. That's how they all turn on."

Hey I agree. If you're only gonna have one song on a nugget, that's a solid contender.
Something about this video made me look up Archos to see what kind of home electronics they're doing now. Oh how the mighty have fallen...

My first MP3 player was a creative brand.
Worked great for years until i got an iPod that played videos in color (that was a huge thing then)

Creative is actually a very good budget brand nowadays, especially the Creative Pe BBls
It's not that bad, I can see on the back that's it's made in Korea, which imo is the next best thing to Japan.
So my takeaway is that I definitely shouldn't try to use it to drive my 250-Ohm/Channel Beyerdynamic DT-190?
4:21 the lick
It says digital but that's kinda a given, a analog MP3 player would be more impressive.
Panasonic is really good. I have ones the have an exp. of 1998 and they still have power
here they are

aw, it looks cute though

What will happen when the PKCELLs run out of juice?
I hope Wade won't freak out then 😂
MUSE time is running out.. don’t know what you paid for the nug but it was totally worth it 😛
WHY ARE THE AFTER SHOWS GETTING LISTED???
He made all the after shows public
In fairness, it is an "mp3 player", not "mp3s player". That one Muse song probably used up the entire storage anyway.
