This was broadcast during Christmas 1981, a few months after Charles and Di got married, but it might have been filmed while she was still Lady Di. Having said that, I imagine several people still referred to her by that title for a while after the marriage (I've heard people still refer to the King as Prince Charles).
It certainly is authentic. Christmas '84 my mum put the xmas pudding in the microwave, but I think she must have started on the sherry by then and put in the wrong time. Mid-way through dinner in the lounge, the labrador pushed the kitchen door open and apocalyptic clouds of smoke billowed into the room; filling it to table level. My brother managed to crawl out to the front door on his hands and knees and open it, while my mum tackled the microwave with a towel wrapped around her face. But we were happier then, tho we were stupid.
Only fools and horses is my all time favourite show, in the 80s my dad had various market stalls and was a market trader when I left school, I meet many real lift Del-boys 😀 when finished Only fools you need to try Rock and Chips all about Young Del and Rodney’s birth
Good evening Megan, how are you? Love Christmas holidays here in 🇬🇧 we call Santa 🎅 Father Christmas instead of Santa Claus over in Canada & America too! Hope you enjoyed the London Marathon yesterday & I enjoyed watching it inside my flat! ❤️🇬🇧
Im 5 months late but plenty of British people love apple pie! I think you're right that it isn't as popular as in Canada and USA, but I think they got it from us! Pumpkin pie, not so much. I like your reactions.
Megan, if you get to watch the entire series, take note of a character in the show called "Trigger." Hilarious. (He's the only one who calls Rodney... "Dave." LOL )
Hi Megan, I hope you are well. I managed to purchase the complete seven series (sans "specials") DVD boxset of OFAH off my local flea market two or three weeks ago, for £10 !
reminds me of me and my mates chatting up women we had rey rings with bmw,or Porsch logos on,🤣,flashed them around ,even though we could not drive, never worked🤣
Wait... What!?... You're saying that Apple Pie isn't very popular here in the UK?... It's a "North American Thing"... Apple Pie is British... And it has been ever since the 1300's. 😂🍏
@@MeganRuth Morrison... Tesco... Asda... Sainsbury's... Aldi... Lidl... Waitrose... M&S... As well as every Bakery in the country will have Apple Pies for sale... They're certainly not hiding them Megan... You can literally find them anywhere and everywhere out there. 👍
I was sad to lern today that David Jason & Nic Lyndhurst are now mortal enemies. So sad that's happened. Meg any time you to make feel like Christmas go ahead think we all do now then it gives us a little lift.

@@MeganRuth Someone said wait until you get to series 6, they get better; I couldn't believe I read that, as I don't think you have to wait that long, or at all. Extra characters do get added as it goes along and different situations within each episode have clever 'pay off' comedy endings.

ah fair enough! I guess it would be a habit that people got into.
Heresy - Apple pie is an English classic :) Love watching your reaction! :)

ahh okay! Interesting how he said Lady Diana and not Princess Diana. I agree about the lines!
Can’t wait for more series 3! Keep it up Megan 💪

That's awesome!!
Ya know allot of non Christians still hold a Christmas. Its more about the family time than the religion =)
Yes I know! I was more so talking about people from other religions :)
I don't think my grandfather ever did anything around the house. My mum remembers him washing up once. He went to work and he considered that enough.
He never fixed anything?
I’m pretty sure I saw you in Red Eye last night Megan 🤔 great reaction as always 😊
You did! Thank you 😊

If you want comedies about 'real' families, try 'The Royle Family'

Sorry but the American's got Apple Pie from the UK.
You should do a reaction to Still Game it's a Scottish Sitcom you will love it
It's a comedy treacle! If you had your way it would not be a comedy at all. Don't look at it as a documentary... jeeez blimey!
It's a comedy with a lot of heart which makes the show stand out, in my opinion. The best shows have comedy and heart :)
