Steven, to your first point of no nos, it is very unlikely for an American or UK citizen or resident to drive on the wrong or opposite side of the road. They are already accustomed to obeying traffic regulations in their host countries, so seeing the chaos on Lagos roads is actually horrifying. I agree to avoid any confrontation with the police. The truth is though, the police department is beyond corrupt. The idea that they are out there trying to do a job and enforce the law is laughable. They serve no useful purpose to society if we are to be honest, and they should called out. However, thanks for the tips.
@@kevinbell475 The young man is trying not get into trouble with police. However, your description of the Nigerian police is on point. By the way, most Nigerian institutions are actually beyond corrupt to be frank.
Good points! Most of the time it’s you people living in Nigeria that don’t stay in line, e.g in the bank, grocery stores, not visitors coming from another country.
Thank you for this video but I happen to disagree with some of what was said here. Foreigners never drive on one way, Nigerians in Nigeria do. I saw the most irresponsible driving in Nigeria. Also, police corruption is not a myth. It’s for real. I experienced it right from the airport when I arrived
