to do the wing on my red eye I used Milani stay put matte eyliner in shade 17H
and on both eyes AND LIP I used urban decay black and white eyeliner and a little eye shadow from each pallet to make the color more intense.
My favorite mascara is the ultra beauty brand the pink one called new heights in shade black brown. I really like the eyelash comb on it and I also used thrive cosmetics liquid lash to top it off.

Karine's babies were dying likely because Ortel was probably rh+ and she was rh- or vice versa. That combination leads to fetal mortality. Hence, the blood test that used to be mandatory to get a marriage license. Now there is a medication that mitigates it and blood tests are no longer needed.
I would think it sounds like that as well. All of the females in my granny's family are O-. She lost a baby because of it but my dad miraculously survived. Those shots are literally a life saver. I have 2 kids now with my Rh+ husband. 😊
If that was the only reason they probably wouldn't have made it to birth.

That's not why blood tests were mandatory, it was to prevent incest.... I'm rh- and had 5 miscarriages. The state/government never stopped ppl from marrying due to their blood type, that's illegal, however they stop family from marrying because incest is illegal. They wouldn't care if I'd had 200 miscarriages....
They also had the Rho-gam shot since 1960. It's what prevents the fetus blood and mothers blood from crossing. I'm sure the order didn't allow them to see outside DRs but if so they would have been administered a rho-gam shot at 20 weeks preventing miscarriage.... rho-gam is why I have 2 beautiful daughters ❤

YO the anthropologist in me is about to pop off.
This idea of marrying your late husband’s close relative to produce children with your dead husband is actually a common practise in certain areas of the world, particularly certain tribes in Africa like the Nuer, although it’s been dying out.
If a man died without sons, a male relative of the same generation as him, ideally a brother but sometimes a cousin, would take the wife in and father children with her, and the children are considered the sons of the dead man. I wrote an entire paper on this in uni. It’s called ghost marriage, although there’s a different practise in China with the same name, where families marry their two dead kids so they will be married in the afterlife.

Ghost marriage in JAPAN is pretty abusive, often with the girl being married to a ghost just as a servant for her new mother-in-law.
You're confused about what incest is. Incest is sexual contact between blood relatives. A woman marrying a relative of her husband is not incest, nor illegal. Marrying someone doesn't make you a blood relative of their relatives.

It’s crazy that you don’t know! I live in New York and before watching Amanda (or even Escaping Polygamy) I knew that there was a lot of Mormon Polygamy and incest there because of friends who had family in Utah. It’s truly wild though. To be honest there are probably Polygamist cults in NY where I live and I don’t even know about it so I don’t blame you for not knowing h about all the seedy, creepy things that happen in the shadows.

I’d love a video about Orlean and her husband, Clyde Gustafson. I’ve always wondered how Clyde became involved with the Kingstons since he was from an immigrant family. He ended up marrying Orlean first, then married her full sister Ardous as his plural wife. His sister was Elden’s (#1) first wife, and some of his other siblings became involved with Kingstons too.

In my town, we have a large amish community, So growing up in my mind, Mormon and FLD was the same. They just followed God a different way and had bigger families. I so badly wanted to be a part of that, I would think they are so lucky to be born there. How crazy. I truly see the appeal to a person who doesn't know it all. My mother would speak praises on how well-behaved the children were. Seeing the women cook together was joyful. I am so glad for brave women like you that tell the real story because many of us who grew up across the country in small towns just have no idea about the size of this evil.

I was thinking about when you said Daniel is older then Paul but Paul is the leader etc. From watching EP & from all the info you lovely ladies have provided, it honestly sounds like Daniel is the one who’s actually in charge. So what if Paul is just a front for the Top Guy but everything really comes from Daniel, that he’s the one who ultimately has the final say, he’s the true leader & just uses Paul as a front man to take the BIG hits if they ever get popped etc. that Paul’s real job is to protect the REAL leader, who is Daniel. At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me & actually makes sense.

Just made me think of that when you mentioned your grandmother eating raw potato chips.
On Priscilla’s grandma Kathleen’s gravestone it says 8.12, which really makes no sense. Even if they’d factored in the proxy marriages she would be the 14th wife, not the 12th. They didn’t include the proxy marriages for your grandma Isabell’s number but did include them (or some of them??) for Kathleen’s number… that’s gonna get so messy when all of the wives eventually pass away. Everything involving the Order is so confusing 😂 I guess Isabell and Kathleen died 10 years apart so maybe they changed their minds on whether to include the Elden- proxy- wives or not.
I also noticed that Marion Tucker has no number on her gravestone, even though she died after Ortell and others who do have it… I wonder if it’s because they couldn’t decide whether it should have Elden’s number or Ortell’s. I know you said they teach that the wife goes back to the first husband in Heaven, but she was only married to Elden for 2 years… she was with Ortell for nearly 40 years when he died. I guess it was too hard of a choice so they just skipped it lol
Your explanations are even more intense to listen to with the contacts in and the makeup happening. Great job explaining. Cult upbringings really make us uniquely positioned to tell our history in a way that people can relate to.

They learned it at a horrible cost as they were liberating the camps during WW2, all they had to feed chronically malnourished/starved people was soldier's rations designed for heavy work. People do fine for a few days and then their bodies just quit

I think i've heard from a previous video that you have Scandianvian heritage and this becomes very apparent in this video when you're talking about their names :) I dont know how you spell the nieces name but it sounds like it would be spelled "Karin". Thats a very common name in Sweden for woman in older generations. (the american equivilant would be Karen or Kathrine in popularity). Also the nieces last name before taking on the new surname sounds also like a very common Swedish last name, "Gustafsson" or "Gustavsson". Its cool to hear that there is likely ties so far back and across the pond. It would be cool to hear what kind of Scandinavian heritage you have :). Last note, "Elden" means "the fire" in Swedish so its kind of a bad ass name to have.

I found incest on Vesta Stowell's side of the family. But, the order hadn't started at that time. (Vesta is Ortell's mother.) Her father's father, Augustus Oliver Artemis Stowell is also Vesta's Mother's grandfather. So he's Vesta's grandfather and her great grandfather.
I have heard there was actually a lot of that going on but technically the first case IN the order was Ortell but maybe since it was already a thing it was not a huge deal? but everyone I talked to said Elden was against it...so now I am curious how true that was
Wow, oh man, so all these people that are descendents of Ortell that are marrying siblings and / or offspring of siblings are already more inbred than they may even know. 😮
@@TheAmandaRaeGrant I believe you're right. I fully remember Ortell being the reason for the order startig incest. But, as I researched my genealogy I found incest had already been happening on Ortell's mothers side of the family.
a question that may be better asked on a sunday!! what does the order do with all the men who struggle getting wives because... they're all taken? i mean, is that why men started marrying minors and relatives? because there was no one else besides a 15yo cousin?
Men of lesser status (status lost by "mixed blood" in the family heritage - status gained by proximity to the leader or wealthy but committed to the order so turns in $$$ for the order) don't get wives or not multiple or leave...it is a bit like the "lost boys" of flds...men can also marry outsiders to bring them into the order...whereas a man to join the order (which is very rare) has to make a sizable monetary donation to join.

I read through David's O's court case, an interesting note if you read through the court case, the judge asked David if he would never live practice again in his life. David told the judge directly he would never live incest. Davids court proceedings are all public as well. It's super concerning the judge just took David at his word essentially because David was still having kids even while he was in prison supossedly. So anyways... Weird uncles with problems lying to the law.
