5 gallons might be a little small for a pair of clowns longterm honestly as they do eventually get 3 or inches long but it could still make an incredible nano reef with crabs or inverts! You'll definitely need a heater to keep them at about 25 Celsius. Clownfish don't need coral or anemones, you can keep them with just coral sand and live rock. I hope that helps and good luck with your nano reef! 🐠😁
Was planning on getting/making a saltwater reef tank for clowns but I’m not entirely sure how to add salt to it? And do I add salt after every water change or? Any advice helps! Thank you so much! I have a 5 gallon goldfish kit with gravel, a filter, and flake food. I plan on keeping 2 clownfish, but do I need a heater or coral?

Great!
Im settings up a 15g Fowler tank too.
Bt as far I know for 15g tank a minimum 6kg rock is necessary.( 1 pound rock per gallon)
Is it true?
