we have been on Ventura twice and due for a third cruise on her this April. However, it is always nice to see another persons view, particularly yours as, i have said before, they are always succinct and informative. I agree regarding the wake I find it hypnotic which is a reason we always book an aft cabin. Keep the vlogs coming and thank you

      Thank you so much!
They did at the time but it may have been stopped so I'd make sure to double check when onboard!
Yes they do its right at the front of the ship - The Oasis Pool

I have some hints and tips bout this ship me and my wife had an absolutely terrible time on this cruise its really gone down in standards there was no high standards all poor standards so my tip avoid at all costs and go with cunard they have a much better reputation we heard so many people complaining about poor cabin cleanliness, rude ship staff when complaining to the senior management they did absolutely nothing.
People coming down with diahorrea and sickness, also brown water coming out of the bathrooms cabin taps me and my wife were drinking this tap water and we both came down ill, and there was also an outbreak of diahorrea and sickness before we set sail so the ship needed a deep clean this was probably the cause of the diahorrea and sickness amongst passengers
Nd a cabin cleaner left a dirty green cloth on my face cloth and my wifes was bag it looked like it had human shit on it used to clean the inside of the toilet it was beyond disgusting and my wife touched this cloth and shortly after came down ill definitely avoid P@O at all costs because cleanliness definitely isnt good on this ship at all..

It sounds like you had a rotten time.
My friend & I had a very different experience on Ventura in May. Staff were lovely (& went out of their way to provide good service), food excellent and the ship was clean.
It's a shame you didn't have that kind of journey & I hope you at least get a reasonable reply to any complaints you make.

@seegee8564 yeah mate it was a dire experience quite a few people were complaining at how bad the ship was, what went from an exciting time went to a pure nightmare me and my wife are planning on going on the Iona in 2025 we are praying its going to be better than the Ventura, and according to other passengers who've been on it many times have also said the ships standards and the crews standards have greatly reduced so it says alot really maybe its time to scrap the ventura as its very dated 1st put in service in 2008 its now 2023 so 15 years is a long time for a ship really..

There are plenty of ships sailing the seas that are a lot more than 15 years old, and some hotels or entertainment venues on land are many decades old.
They all need regular checks, maintenance, and the occasional upgrade to more modern standards, but the main things that make a good onboard experience are whether the company trains staff well, values them (& pays them accordingly), treating every staff member as a person rather than just a functional unit - and whether the vast majority of passengers also value staff, always treating them with respect.
If al that isn't in place, you get miserable staff and poor service, leading to dissatisfied holidaymakers.
That's a real shame when you've spent lots of money on a cruise, hoping for a really good experience.
I hope any shore visits you made were enjoyable.
