Want to make a lot clear!!! First off they can do the chores or not do them. They don’t get in trouble if they don’t do them. The list was created to allow them to work for extra money if they wanted it. Also the mowing the grass for Emma and pulling weeds for Ellie is extra money if they want to do it. The grass is a tiny area for the dogs that she would mow if she chose. She has never picked that chore. Dishwasher and feed the dogs have always been their chores but now they get paid for it sooooooo I don’t have to remind them. It was a way to make work to earn more money. Plus the grocery store is a way for Emma to learn how to shop where things are in the stores and etc since she is almost 18. She has never mowed grass in her life so again she is almost 18 she should probably know how. These are life lesson for them and I made it so they would want to do them. We are not lazy we are parents teaching our kids lessons to work for what they want. Goodbye
I think it’s a great list! And it’s really good for them to get introduced into adult responsibilities! I know a chore list helped me!

You should put the chore chart in a binder clear protective sleeve thing & then you can use expo markers so you can reuse it every week!

I do chores just to help my family and for me to just be clean and organized and I don’t get paid.

Why are so many people mad at the fact they get paid? They’re growing up and cleaning and doing stuff around the house is a good way of learning so when they’re older they don’t struggle on their own. I personally think it’s a great idea and paying them motivates them more.
People in the comments acting as if it’s not a normal thing to get rewarded/ paid for choures, the fact they make the girls work for their money instead of just handing them it shows they don’t want their children growing up thinking money is just handed to you and that you acc have to work for it, they make enough money off TH-cam for the girls not to have to worry about money but they still make them earn it to show the importance of working hard
Preparing them for the real world, this is a great way for them to earn there way in life. Things are more rewarding when you break a sweat to get it ☺️☺️
My parents did something similar for me and my brothers. If we wanted money, we could complete chores. I was the only one that ever did anything, so I was the only one that got to go out with friends and buy things that I wanted. Works for me :)
I was never paid to clean however I see where you’re coming from it’s teaching them that not only if they work hard it shows but also they earn money like owning an actual job
This is how my mon did it! She put my sister to clean the whole house and me to clean up outside an mowed the grass do the weeds, once we were both done, we could choose money or fun place to go when we were little, when we got older money was always the pick haha!!! I’m now 21 with my own kid an I see it’s not lazy it’s teaching them responsibility, an I like it because if they want extra money they have to work for it!!! I’m doing this when my son is older, he’s 2 on Wednesday 22nd. By the way you both are amazing parents, have a blessed life an stay safe !!! Love you all

Hi Heather! I loved the video, loved the insight on how OTHER families are :) was it different for me growing up? definitely but no two families are the same (seems like a lot of these people don’t get that lol)
Loved the video it was different and interesting, not also is it helping the girls earn money and gain responsibility but it also is a sense of organization that they’ll get to have for their future.
See I don't mind doing chores, but when my parents tell me to do it or assign me to do it, then I don't wanna do it
They don’t have to do them if they don’t want to it’s a list created for them to earn money. If they want extra money they should work for it it’s simple.

and shes not done yet. shes still a little kid. but shes bigger then most 12 year olds. i just remember how small she was a couple years ago and now its like wow she got big
frr she looks so much older now but shes only 12! she’s been doing her makeup like emma (down to the highlight lol) so i think that’s what makes her look older than she is

I don't get paid for chores nor would I ever want to be for helping my mom and dad lol. They do so much for me and work way harder than me - they don't get paid for it, why should I.. I'm not gunna pay my children either. They're going to learn to help without expecting stuff in return. The lesson about working hard to earn money instead of having it handed over to them will be learned when they go out into the workforce, not at home.

When I was young it was called pocket money just for generally helping around the house. I don’t believe all the people here, who say they do the chores for nothing… so you don’t ever get any money from your parents, like ever? Or new clothes or anything? They don’t pay for any activities you do like sports or something? THATS your reward.
Ps: same with grades… I got paid or rewarded for having good grades not bad once

Heather you’re a great mom and do everything for the girls, but the girls need to understand that these are everyday chores that they have to do when they get other and move out. Paying them is a nice gesture but it shouldn’t be like that for basic life skills.
No but most teenagers are lazy and don’t do this stuff so my way of paying them is to teach them to do it for when they are on their own and earn money doing.

Growing up I had chores and if I want something I work for it and sometimes I do it without them even telling me, I didn't mind, I didn't complain like some of the kids. But that's just me 💖

My dad is a single parent iam the only girl in the family with 3 brothers and I would literally have to pay my family to clean caus no one does anything except me😂 but I have no money to pay them and I would have to clean again after them caus they don’t know how to clean properly 😂😂😂 ( my dad knows how to clean the right way but he works 14 h a day ) 😂😂😂😂😅

So they can get almost $200 per week doing chores? That's more than some adults make. That's ridiculous to get paid that much money just to do stuff that they should be doing in the first place. My parents gave me a place to live and that's why I helped out. They maybe gave me $10 here and there but we were taught to work for stuff. I'm glad they think doing those normal chores are worth $200 a week.

I grew up that way which I enjoy sometimes I do it without them telling me ☺️, but now I'm 24 and on my own I enjoy it and makes my place amazing. I don't like to shame parents what they do, but we only know what they show us💖
As long as it’s not your bank account or your children. 😝 some children just get an allowance every week without doing anything, they’re working and cleaning around the house for their money.
