I think the Gog/Magog war mentioned in Ezekiel chapters 38, 39 is not explicitly mentioned in the Book of Revelation. However this may be some thing like a World war III , which will happen after the breaking of the sixth seal by the Lamb and the subsequent Rapture of the church. In this war God will fight for Israel and Israel will win the war as described in Ezekiel 38&39. I think this war which kills one third of the population is the one described in Revelation 9:13-19. After this war, Antichrist will emerge as a peace maker and enter into a treaty with Israel and help Israel in constructing their third temple. However after about 3 1/2 years Antichrist will declare himself as God and then the period described as Jacob's trouble or the great tribulation will begin. After the great tribulation, the Armageddon war will start during which time, Jesus will descend to Mount Olives and kill all the enemy troops, bind Satan and throw him to the bottomless pit and will establish the 1000-year reign of Jesus Christ on earth. After 1000 years Satan will be released . Then Gog Magog war ( described in Revelation 20:7-10), Killing of all enemies of Israel by fire descending from heaven, Greate White throne judgment, New Heaven and new earth, Eternity etc will follow. This is what I understood regarding the happenings in the book of Revelation and correlating the incidents with what is mentionedin Ezekiel chaters 38&39.
Dear man of God in Christ, Thanks for sharing your view point regarding the war mentioned in the book of Ezekiel. As I mentioned in this video, the Bible does not provide a specific timeline for when Ezekiel's battle of Gog and Magog will occur. However, there are several speculations regarding this time period. In the video, I discussed a couple of theories: that it could take place either before the tribulation begins or during the first part of the seven-year tribulation. Each theory has its drawbacks. Your perception raises some important questions about the time period you referenced. For example, if this war occurs during the events described in Revelation 9:13-19, the Antichrist would not have emerged yet. So, who would be ruling the world during the period from Revelation 6 to 9? Additionally, if the Gog-Magog war in Ezekiel happens around the time of Revelation 9:13-19, as you suggested, wouldn't the seven-year tribulation period technically begin after that event?
Dear brother, My perception is primarily based on the word of God and also based on the inputs from various preachers like you and based on the discernment I get with the help of the Holy Spirit and come to a conclusion which I feel to be more appropriate. I am also ready to correct myself, in case later on I am convinced that what I understood earlier was not correct and a more convincing interpretation is received from another person. There are different types of interpretation by different people, but all can not be true and the Holy Spirit shall help us to discern the truth from various inputs. From the descriptions mentioned in Rev 9:13-19, we can interpret that it is the world war III as it is mentioned that one third of the world population would be wiped out. This would be similar to world war I and world war II under the leader ship of respective country leaders, but not under the leadership of Antichrist. This war would be of more destructive nature compared to WW 1 & WW 2. Also the date of beginning of this war is already decided by God ( but we don't know exactly).Refer Rev 9:15. The spirit of Antichrist will be there(It is there even now), but the personication of the spirit of Antichrist referred as "The Beast" has not yet emerged at this time. May be at the end of the world war III, the Beast will reveal himself as a charismatic leader, sign peace treaty with Israel and help them in constructing the third temple. However, the Beast with the wicked character will emerge only during the time of the 2 witnesses. Please refer Rev 11:7, where the beast is mentioned as ascending from the abyss and then he will kill the 2 witnesses. I think there is no reference of the beast or the antichrist in the book of Revelation before 11:7. Please refer Rev 11:1 where Apostol John is instructed to take the measurements of the temple. This indicates that during the time of Rev 11:1, the temple construction is already over. Of course the beast has not exhibited his true Colour at this stage. Most probably after the end of World War III and the construction of the third temple with the help of the Charismatic leader (Antichrist),the seven year tribulation will begin. The first half woud be somewhat peaceful for Israel and subsequently the great tribulation or Jacob's trouble period will start and the subsequent events till the glorious return of Christ and the beginning of the new melinium of Jesus Christ would happen. Hope I have clarified the points raised by you.
Dear Alex brother, We both agree that our perception is primarily grounded in the Word of God, as well as in the teachings of various preachers and Biblical scholars, and guided by the discernment we receive through the Holy Spirit. However, it's important to recognize that differing conclusions can arise, as we each ultimately make personal decisions about what seems most appropriate, based on our understanding and spiritual insights. Interpretations can indeed vary because they are influenced by human perspective, and it's possible that interpretations, based on the information we have received, may be incorrect or incomplete. In light of this, I respectfully disagree with some of your points. Let us agree to disagree, recognizing that none of us are perfect in our understanding of these matters. Therefore, it is always wise not to rush to conclusions on matters in the Bible that have not been clearly revealed. You may have noticed that I did not specify a time period for the war in Ezekiel 38-39 in my discussion, because the Bible does not provide a clear timeline for it. However, we can be certain from Scripture that Armageddon occurs at the end of the Tribulation, and the Gog and Magog war mentioned in Revelation takes place after the Millennium. Yes, the Bible clearly teaches that the spirit of the Antichrist is already present in the world (even now). However, various books in both the Old and New Testaments point to a specific time period when the Antichrist will have a literal, earthly reign. As a premillennial believer, I believe the reign of the Antichrist on earth will begin immediately after the rapture of the church. I also believe that the book of Revelation serves as the final blueprint to help us understand this future period. In the book of Revelation, Jesus directed John to write three things: 1) the things which he had seen, 2) the things which are, and 3) the things which will take place after these things (Rev. 1:19). Based on this structure, I believe the period of the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls refers to the reign of the Antichrist. This period aligns with what is known as the Tribulation, or the "time of Jacob’s trouble." If you observe the progression of the horsemen (in Revelation chapter 6) and the effects on the earth, you can see that the riders on the horses correlate with the various names attributed to the Antichrist throughout Scripture-such as Prince, Ruler, False Christ, Man of Lawlessness, "the man of sin," and "son of perdition", Son of Destruction, the Beast, the Beast from the Abyss, and the Beast from the Sea. All these titles point to the same figure, the Antichrist, whose actions are revealed through the judgments that unfold in the Tribulation period. I believe we may be straying a bit from the original subject and the main purpose. As children of God, these specific details, while important, are not the central focus of our lives. The most important thing is the coming of our Lord in the clouds. We know for certain that the time is near. Therefore, let our focus be on preparing ourselves to meet our Bridegroom and helping others to be ready to join us.
Dear James Brother, To conclude, let me write few lines and close the discussion. I think the perception for both of us regarding the war in Ezekiel 38&39, The Armagedd on war and the Gog/Magog war are in the same frequency. The difference in understanding is in the breaking of the seals in Chapter 6. I feel that as per you, the man on the white horse after breaking the first seal is the Antichrist. If that is true, then the first seal is not yet broken as on today since the Antichrist has not yet appeared in flesh. So the incidents in Revelation Chapter 6: verse 1 onwards is still a future event as on today. I also believed like this initially. But I corrected myself after hearing some more meaningful interpretation and correlating it with the word of God. The man on the white horse is not the Antichrist. The victorious man on the white horse represents the the Gospel initiated by Apostole Paul which has endured all the persecution for the past 2000 years and still spreading across all the globe victoriously. From the First centuary onwards till now, there were numerous wars, famines and pestilences. Hence the first four seals are already broken during these 2000 years. During the recent 100 years, even though the Gospel is reaching to more and more people, the persecution towards the Christian missionaries and evangelists are also being increased very much.Hence most probably the 5th seal also might have been already broken (Refer Rev 6:9-11). If so, the next step is breaking of the 6th seal and the subsequent Rapture. The descriptions mentioned in Rev 6:12-17 like the greate earh quake, sun becoming black and moon becoming red in colour, stats falling down like figs dropping from the fig tree by a mighty wind, sky receeding as a scroll, every montain and island being displaced etc can be interpreted as the events associated with the Rapture. So Rapture is very imminent and can happen any time. Only thing is nobody knows the day and hour when it will happen, but we can discern that it is very near. So our duty is to be ready in all respect to be Raptured.
