hey doug, here's a platform building tip for ya- (i'm currently trying my hand at platform making- carving painting etc).. for cheap grass- get moss for any dollar store- then head to a thrift shop for a cheap-o food chopper ie cuisinart mini prep (i picked up one for $5) and then you grind the heck out of the moss with the chopper- pulverize to a fine dust- i put my ground up moss into an old parmesan cheese container and then it is easy to sprinkle it on- the finer the moss is the better the effect i think... allows the pieces to sit properly on the display ...
also once you have the moss glued down and it's dry- get a spray bottle - mix 75% water to 25% elmer's glue all- spray the check out of the moss- will take a few days to dry- but then your moss won't shed off the platform- i built one platform last year and i tried that trick and it works great- fyi the glue goes on white coloured- but it dries clear...

Agree with you on the Bigfoot Brewhouse. It looks great, especially lit up with the torches. It just doesn’t fit my themes and I gotta save money somewhere.

Tips, ideas and tricks videos .. ie diys, platform making tips off branded add ons all for the spooky town villaging…i recently discovered the cookable polymer clay- great for making cats, pumpkins and i tried ghosts as well… just a thought :)

i'd add the moss on outside (not inside of your home)- it makes a big mess fyi
