I love this song...I'm a truck driver & I can't count the times I have driven down some interstate crying & singing to this GREAT GREAT song...one hand on the steering wheel...ONE HAND RAISED TO MY LORD!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.
You do realize that One day all of these singers will be OUR leaders and teachers guiding us to help catch up on the fun and joy of our new careers (PRAISING THE KING)! Shame, on all of you, who just have to give a negative opinion about this group of singers opposed to the group of singers YOU first saw, sing this particular song. Like it is some personal affront to YOU that it sounded different than when that other, older combination, by the same name, sang this song! It happens every time anyone is replaced, all their fans are convinced, everyone except they are going to forget what a great talent, the original group used to be and that no one will ever match up! I just want to point out, that the KING we are talking & singing about, and to, is hearing and Loving and Enjoying , as if this is the first time HE has ever heard it, just like you would, if it was a gift of LOVE from your 3 year old! HE doesn't appreciating anyone hurting the feelings of HIS toddler, how about you? Now, I know every one of those guys at some time or other reads these comments cause they want to know what they are thought of when they are new on the job. How do you think it makes them feel, to only learn they're never good enough? Christians in particular listen up, we are to lift each other up! Stop! Discouraging! May the Good Lord give you understanding!!!
When I first listen this song, with Gold City who sang it, it was like a feeling that is the best feeling in the world. It was a bless and love. I felt so blessed, and I can not listen to this song without sing with them.. The people that doesn't sing the chorus in this song, we'll, they must be deaf. Thank you God, nothing else, but the Lord
This is by far the Best that Gold City has ever sounded. This is my opinion but everyone has one. I've been knowing Steve, Daniel, and Tim for a long time. It is such a tuff industry right now to even break even and pay bills must less make a living. I thank God for men (and Women) who are still carring the word in song. I did for 35 years until God called me into the ministry. Now I pastor a little country church Lowerytown Baptist is Bibb County Alabama.
Thank you Pastor Danny for all the years of service you have given to the LORD! I will enjoy getting to know you when we get home. May it be soon! I just wanted to say I don't think that when they have to comment about other singers in past iterations of any particular Gospel Singing Group (they do it for any and all of them), that they understand they are hurting the feelings of whomever that person is joining them, the one that is unfavorably compared. The reason they do it is simply because they don't want their favorite to get lost in the dusk of the turnover. What they are saying is "Look hear! everybody, don't forget about "So-N-So" while welcoming "Se-N-Se" " It is from their Hearts, but it leaves someone out, it leaves the new guy aching to be in. The human factor! Human Opinion! The new group/combination? ABBA, Likes It! What else matters?
i think its great as it is. i didnt find anything wrong with the sound plus was 1st time hearing this song what a song!!!!!!!!!! love it keep more coming bncsgmusic i love it........
Jay was really good...but my boy Brian Free was the best tenor that ever sang with Gold City! Brian Free, the owner and Tenor singer of his own group, Brian Free and Assurance. Brian Free, the most awarded Tenor singer in Southern Gospel Music History.....need I say more?????
In my opinion, Brian Free isn't just the best Tenor that Gold City ever had, he's just flat-out the best Tenor Singer EVER!!!!! He's the most awarded Southern Gospel Music Tenor Singer of all time!!! He may not sing way up in the "Stratosphere" like Chris Jenkins (The Kingsmen Quartet), or Harold Reed (Another Tenor Singer that sang with the Kingsmen Quartet before Chris Jenkins joined their ranks), but Brian Free is steady, accurate, and had a veritable well of emotion in his voice. Brian's my pick for Number 1 Tenor Singer, and that's just the way It's staying!!!!!

The best gold city ever Steve Ladd was my favorite tenor they had after Jay parrack
I WAS THERE THAT VERY NITE!!!!!!!! I WAS REALLY YOUNG AND I STILL REMEMBER STEVE
Since you were there could you tell me what year this was. I've been trying to find out.
Peterbilt 352H It was 2004. Jay Parrack had left but Tim Riley hadn’t yet.
Hallelujah!
God bless you all.
What do you think guys. Should i re-upload this with better sound?
Need Jay back!!!!!!!
I WAS THERE WHEN STEVE HIT THAT NOTE I GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH TOO!!!! HE WAS GREAT too bad he left
Sure do need Steve and John back
This is great! Although the best tenor they ever had was Jay Parrack, hands down.
Kevin Higginbotham if you think Jay is the best best, you haven't listened to his father :o)
I liked Brian Free better.
Watch Danny. he doesn't even put the mic up to his mouth at that part.
@BnCSGMusic definitely.... i wanna record this 2 my computer....
Ya but if you want to leave it this way I would not complain!!!
Danny didn't start the verse when he was supposed to for some reason.
Best Gold City line-up! Short lived but a good one!
Best Gold City line up was Jay, John, Mark, and Tim.
Lol! He used to never have the goatee. He grew it out around the Revival cd.
I think it was.
i dont, i LOVE THEM! :)
1:30 to 1:35 Jonathan looks like he's trying very hard not to laugh at Danny's mistake.
DON'T FORGET about BRIAN FREE !
In my opinion, Brian Free isn't just the best Tenor that Gold City ever had, he's just flat-out the best Tenor Singer EVER!!!!! He's the most awarded Southern Gospel Music Tenor Singer of all time!!! He may not sing way up in the "Stratosphere" like Chris Jenkins (The Kingsmen Quartet), or Harold Reed (Another Tenor Singer that sang with the Kingsmen Quartet before Chris Jenkins joined their ranks), but Brian Free is steady, accurate, and had a veritable well of emotion in his voice. it may have been,
please
