Yeah I realize that there have been reported cases of internal hardware issues that affected the G4 and some V10s in the past, and you may also have had bad experiences. But to suggest that LG will continue to sell phones that fail is kind of ridiculous since it's like assuming Samsung will continue to sell phones that keep catching on fire. I have had numerous friends who have bought LG phones in the past and nothing has happened to them. The amount of cases of hardware failures are rare.
***** Hopefully an update will fix it. The OP3 had issues initially also, even with 6gb of RAM. Very disappointing though, the smoothness of the software on the Pixel just about matches the iPhone, but the memory management 👎
The best memory management still goes to iOS. It works differently but much more efficient than Androids Ram Management. The best Ram Management on an Android phone goes to One Plus undoubtedly.
Evode Iraguha aparently it is slower because the larger ones have "more room" or something like that... but i think that it is comparably slower only when importing things from itunes
And people all go saying Apple's phones do so well in these tests because Apple built the hardware and software and can optimise them. Same story here for the Google Pixel but did Google manage to optimise its hardware and software to complement one another? Nah. A skinned version of Android winning a pure vanilla Android by Google. Says a lot.
Not defending Google, but the only part of the hardware Google probably had a say in was the design. Processor is from Qualcomm, screen is licensed by Samsung, and whatever else they might have gotten to put the parts together to make the phone.
Says a lot about what? The generic Snapdragon 821 vs the 820? The fact that Android is java based and runs all apps in a virtual machine and not directly on the hardware? The fact that Google built the Pixel from an OEM perspective instead of designing hardware themselves?
Says a lot that not ALL companies that make software and hardware can necessarily optimise the performance of their softwares on their hardwares. I know for a fact the SoC on the Pixel isn't designed by Google, but so is the SoC on the V20. But, the Pixel was designed by Google and HTC was only responsible for its manufacturing process. And accounting for the same amount of RAM in each phone, why is the Pixel so aggressive with the RAM management? Besides, the V20 has an OEM skin on top which is adding to the resources the phone has to process and even taking the RAM part of the speed test out of the picture, it is not far behind. And this comment was obviously directed at those who always use the excuse whenever the iPhones win: 'Oh that's because apps on the iPhones are optimised'. Sick and tired of those excuses.
Totally understand your point. But you do get that the V20 is also similar right? LG didn't make the SoC themselves either. They did design the skin on top of Android 7.0 which has better RAM optimisation than the Pixel..
Dam finally I got to show people that skinning a phone is not bad if you optimize it the way Roms do. It also shows the well job LG did on the Ui especial because it's way more customizable. I'm happy with mine.
It doesn't. Sadly, the LGG5 was a bit of a failure in my opinion, that's why many people didn't want to look at the V20 this time. But I think it deserves a lot more recognition than it is getting now.
Want to but iPhone 7 Plus, but atrocious notification system, godawful settings system, and no drag drop files (dealing with iTunes sucks) forcing me from buying it.
Why are you mentioning a completely different OS? It has nothing to do with android. If you're just here to brag about the fact that IOS is a closed and limited software that only allows it's users to use what they were given, then go on. Android is open source, and has/allows for so many more features than IOS.
murat burç Agreed. I would rather have a ton of features and customization, if i only have to give up a few seconds of time, when opening 56546 apps in a row.
GmodGTX Well said! I have several Android phones (note 5, s7 edge exynos, LG g5) and an iPhone 6s plus. The difference in opening a single app is so slight that it doesn't matter who is slower. I care more about features when the difference is that small. The 6s plus is a very nice phone but I prefer the note 5 slightly more (almost equals though) and the s7 edge much more.
rthind7 820 is not slower as the 821 in Pixel phones are underclock to the level of 820,despite the 0.2 GHz overclocking in the 821, Everything is same in both processors.
Choosing between the PixelXL / V20 was a hard decision but I am so glad I choose the V20! I replaced my note7 with the V20 & I haven't been disappointed at ALL! I LOVE MY LV20 💖💖💖💖💖
These are the real speed test, other reviewers should take note, opening apps on the two phones at the same time with ya finger just to see how fast that app open up isn't enough, a timer and opening multiple apps, and pushing the phones to the limits, is where it at
Watching that Pixel lose over the V20 on my V20. LG's product is more reliable than that of Google's for these products. I am loving every bit of the V20. LG did something great releasing this bad ass!
LOL, Android is a peasant OS. Just admit it. Google can't even sort out multitasking in their "in house" built phone, maybe with 32GB RAM they will be able to keep more than 5 apps in memory, haha. No Android phone should cost more than $350.
I salute LG for this one, even with the heavy lg skin packed with features they managed to keep the speed test within 4 seconds of the iPhone 7, with its basic highly optimized os. ram management on the v20 is much better than any other Android phone out right now
TlathamXmahtalT that's mostly true when specifically at the ram management part of the test but as a whole, both processor and ram are tested in this video, so Jamell is right. It's painful to watch as an iPhone owner.
Lee Squires exactly. I have my iPhone 7Plus and I love phonebuff style Speedtest but man, watching two android phones is brutal. Maybe I been using iOS for too long. Everything else just seems slow. I'm not even trying to be funny...
HermosaBeachJoe Some Android devices have really good ram management. They just cant keep up with iOS devices because Android is a bigger OS. It does more than what iOS can do making Android a heavier OS. Thats why it needs more ram compared to what iOS can handle.
This is really surprising. I thought the Pixel would have won. It has: Newer processor (albeit underclocked as mentioned in the video) Newer operating system (7.1 vs 7.0) Google having control over the hardware choice and software Lighter operating system (AOSP vs LG UX)
I had the s7 the note 7 and now the v20 best android experience so far with the v20. Im used to the way iPhones work seamlessly, have no patience for apps closing and having to turn phone off. V20 does none of that great overall phone.
Plzz need this!! We wait!! Pixel XL vs One plus 3 vs LG V20 !! We need to see Android Speedtest Champ at the 4th quater!! Anybody who like my request please make this a well required speed test. 👌👌✌
The OP3 has the fastest speed tim, just check any OP3 speedtest video, it's even faster than the Pixel. I personally would love a Pixel vs OP3 speedtest
How does the V20 win ? I mean The usual person doesn't have 4 games open on the background. So it comes more to the app opening / switching times which the pixel wins by a good lead
I'm down for the Pixel, but it's just like I said from the beginning: wait for the bigger, better version . With an underwhelming design (in my opinion) minimal ram, lack of expandable storage, and no dust/water resistance, there are just too many now-staple aspects of this phone missing to warrant it's price. I still have high hopes for it in the future and am definitely still interested.
hey sir...there's a new phone from xiaomi..MI 5S+ ...could u please make a speedtest comparision video of it against other flagships....i have seen the videos on "your techguide" channel and the results have shocked me...
Your Tech Guides speedtests are not very accurate and biased, plus he behaves like an idiot, calls everybody a fanboy on his own comment section. How interesting to see how Facebook loads a millisecond faster in the replay lol. I do watch his speedtests, but he blocks anyone who criticizes him. Oh and the Mi 5S Plus - Will get crushed by the iPhone here. Maybe also by the OP 3. By any other Huawei device as well. See, how his speedtests show "Real world performance" but lack in heavy apps
I don't get it.....I own a pixel and not only does it have yet to lag but I've almost NEVER had an app reload. Don't take these speed tests too seriously guys. Who even uses apps like photoshop and vidtrim? Get real, those are for computers.
Your pixel wont end up reloading apps unless your opening and keeping open all these random intensive apps and games like photoshop and subway surfer. This test isn't supposed to show what a phone can do under every day use because every modern smartphone would pretty much be tied. It's meant to show the limits of what a phone can do under intense load, and the pixel happens to reload apps if a lot are open. The v20 does not.
Trexy Smexy it's because you have a pixel and the one in the video is xl and both phones have same ram with different screen sizes so your pixel doesn't struggle to run apps in background with 5 inch 1080p screen and 4 gigs of ram while xl is clearly struggling at 5.5 inch quad hd screen.. google should have given 6 gigs ram to xl
I know some Android phones like the HTC One have an option in the developer options menu to enable "high performance mode". I would like to see a LG v20 test with it enabled if it has it. my HTC One loads apps 10% faster with it enabled. also make sure animation is off in developer options, usually it's set to 0.5 seconds, but half a second is a long time to fade out a screen during a speed test. thanks
Normalny i wouldnt be happy seeing Google"s phone is loosing a speed test but since they decided to get rid of Nexus line and fucked N5X and 6P owners i"m proud of LG right now :)
why are you times different on the xl on this test then when you comfort it to the iPhone 7 plus video? If you results are not consistent then you test results cannot be considered valid.
Now I understand from +YourTechGuide means about Phonebuff speed test, if either device hangs on an app its basically disqualified for the whole speed test. As there is no where it can catch back up to the other device since one app caused it to slow down. It's basically unfair.
V20 the Trump of smart phones. No one thought it would win.
LOL
jay peso lmfao 😂😂😂😂
jay peso give this man a cookie
Haha
jay peso ha,ha this is truth put in a hilarious way! love your sense of humor! 💖😁👍
SD 821: I am the fastest SOC from snapdragon.
SD 820: WTF 😂
Kirin 960: LMAO 😂
Exynos: ohh plzz 😂
A10: Should I say anything ? 😂
Harsh Jani its faster than A10, the pixel is underclocked take a look the mi5s and the new one plus 3 thats gonna have the snap 821
steve deonarine no its not lul
steve deonarine 😂😂😂
Harsh Jani ahhaha
It's about the system not the processor, and yeah 821 is faster than A10
But it's not that important..
Its nice that Google didn't name their phones after the Nexus line. Pure version of Android losing to a skinned version of android. SHAME!!
Anish Somawar lol true
LG is boss bro, I love my V20.
gm92845 I bet you can't wait until it bootloops like all other LG phones lol
It's insured bro, as long as I can get another one I don't give a fuck and it works great.
That means the OnePlus 3 is still the Android speed test champion.
honor 8 win.
Mustapha Ben yeah ur probably right, but u guys take these speed tests to seriously
lmao lol xiaomi mi 5 s with 6 gb has destroyed it check out Your tech guide s vid
Mustapha Ben you should watch honor 8 vs op3 :)
I'm talking about PhoneBuff style speed test, not the other videos.
I don't know why I enjoy these speed test videos much
it's like sports for geeks
who else is watching on your lg v20:)) I love it
gamersetc. ME 💖😁👍
AYY me too
loving my v20
Meeeeeee
Terrible memory management from the Pixel. I guess Google did that to conserve battery?
Well that would be a joke since a 1960 mAh iPhone 7 doesn't do that
***** Hopefully an update will fix it. The OP3 had issues initially also, even with 6gb of RAM. Very disappointing though, the smoothness of the software on the Pixel just about matches the iPhone, but the memory management 👎
lg phones hav the best memory mgmt
But, at the end of the day, IPhone rocks.
The best memory management still goes to iOS. It works differently but much more efficient than Androids Ram Management. The best Ram Management on an Android phone goes to One Plus undoubtedly.
When it's not an iPhone speed test you know your in for the long haul....
PS I wasn't expecting that result. Go LG!!
Phone Daft Yea! Seemed like a hell lot of time..
Phone Daft the v20 was only 4 seconds slower than the iPhone 7.... your comments are a little biased
Mo7ammed Sameer your comment is biased too
Jude Chacko Take a joke mate. Gee's.....
Phone Daft more like L Gee amirite guys ?
sorry guys imma kms now
Video starts at 0:50.
OnePlus 3 vs Google pixel
Shashikant Patel yeah we need it
Absolutely One Plus will be winner
oneplus 3 vs lg v20
His oneplus is dead. I don't think we'll be able to see the speed test.
PLEASE DO OP3 VS GOOGLE PX
please do a 32 gb iphone 7 plus vs 128 or 256 gb iphone 7 plus speed test
Evode Iraguha wtf
Evode Iraguha aparently it is slower because the larger ones have "more room" or something like that... but i think that it is comparably slower only when importing things from itunes
Evode Iraguha won't make a difference
Evode Iraguha nvme problem?
Evode Iraguha Tottally right, the guys in this comment section doesnt seem to know that the Memory Speed seems to be superior on the 256GB version

That was painfully slow to watch. 😂😂😂
Christopher Rogers thank the lord im getting the iPhone 7 in december 😂
I have the iPhone 7 plus. Blazing fast in everything it does. And the apps are better quality. Even the Google apps.
Christopher Rogers nice
Want to but iPhone 7 Plus, but atrocious notification system, godawful settings system, and no drag drop files (dealing with iTunes sucks) forcing me from buying it.
true. I was so stressed at how they reload the app after opening it :D
S7 Edge vs Pixel XL vs V20 vs HTC 10 vs OnePlus 3 pls

Nikka M what does that say for stock android though :/
is it just me, or does the V20 look super sexy compared to the boring Pixel? 😍😍😍🔥🔥

I love these matchups! #phonebuffstyle
Nice one David, I like your videos, keep up the good work! 👏👍
trying to figure out why I pay for you tube red and still have to watch ads?

arric14 he is talking about in-video ads
Abraham Guerra someone got it. geez
arric14 sorrrrry! Geeeez
"WHAT THE **** Google you can't optimize your own phone damn!!!!" - Probably a crap ton of Pixel XL users rn
I am not a big fan of the pixel phone.
Bruce T first generation products always suck. Maybe the next one will be better.
yea wtf like the nexus 6p keeps all the app open and it has 3gb of ram idk what google did with the pixel
These are the real speed test, other reviewers should take note, opening apps on the two phones at the same time with ya finger just to see how fast that app open up isn't enough, a timer and opening multiple apps, and pushing the phones to the limits, is where it at
One plus 3 vs lG v20
Yuchen Liu yup
Or oneplus vs pixel
Yuchen Liu I think the OnePlus 3 can beat both of them just because of the second lap
Jacob C yep
Watching that Pixel lose over the V20 on my V20. LG's product is more reliable than that of Google's for these products. I am loving every bit of the V20. LG did something great releasing this bad ass!
u da real mvp cause i was looking for this video earlier but I couldn't find an accurate one like this
Lmfao 😆 Androids RAM manager is a damn joke!
not all androids u ass
jason Fisher I agree
IPhones have great RAM management. Wish most androids were good at ram management.
jason Fisher yup
iPhones are shit though... The cons outweigh the pros against a Android so who cares.
looking forward to OnePlus 3 vs google pixel speed test
pixel is the ugliest phone google has ever made!!!!
areeb1296 So it's both the ugliest and prettiest phone they made.
but also the prettiest
Test the Mate 9 and the Honor 8 against the OnePlus 3T and the iPhone 7.
google pixels xl vs oneplus 3 please.....why isint it been done yet
I'm excited to see what next year phones are going to! Bezzless! 👌👍
LOL.. Loved this speed test. Adulterated V20 is better optimized than the unadulterated Pixel..!
LOL, Android is a peasant OS. Just admit it. Google can't even sort out multitasking in their "in house" built phone, maybe with 32GB RAM they will be able to keep more than 5 apps in memory, haha. No Android phone should cost more than $350.
ToeCutter This is going to be bad....i'm feeling that a war will start soon, beware my friend.
ToeCutter But a phone is more than speed tho 😂😂😂 that's all iOS has going for it , that's it
And no IOS phone should cost more than 300$
Epic Theo Actually if all phones would be below 300$ that would be great.
I can smell some isheeps in here
Good to see smooth performance on both the devices. Couldn't care less about the ram management, speed or the loading times..
watching this on my v20
The Pixel is a huge flop memory in terms of management .
I salute LG for this one, even with the heavy lg skin packed with features they managed to keep the speed test within 4 seconds of the iPhone 7, with its basic highly optimized os. ram management on the v20 is much better than any other Android phone out right now
Look how bogged down android phones get when you push their processors & ram.
Processing power has nothing to do with RAM management.
Lee Squires yep the extra 4 seconds the v20 took on the iPhone 7 was so painful wasn't it
Jamell Lewis that's pretty sad because the v20 was only 4 seconds slower than the iPhone 7😭
I thought that the Pixel would win, but I can't believe that the LG V20 came back and won.
Real thing matters is multitasking.
Abdullah Sultan and the pixel fails at that.
Howtobeaskilledasian Desu Hence pixel sucks.I like One Plus 3 the beast of speed and multitasking. And saves money too :)
Zte Axon 7 is better. And htc 10 costs only 30€ for me, better camera, way better speaker and audio overall through headphones
That comeback killed it!
Android sucks at ram management
HermosaBeachJoe Some Android devices have really good ram management. They just cant keep up with iOS devices because Android is a bigger OS. It does more than what iOS can do making Android a heavier OS. Thats why it needs more ram compared to what iOS can handle.
HermosaBeachJoe Android doesn't suck at ram management, it just needs more ram because its heavier.
all google needs to do is go open source with swift and boom problem solved.
Guillaume ml
Android has so much ram and still sucks at ram management. Android is not that heavy at all, Apple is just very good at optimization
***** Cool
Felt like the current presidential election. Who knew this would happen?
But still iPhone 7 is the current PhoneBuff champion.
Galaxy S7 Edge vs Google Pixel XL next please!
This is really surprising. I thought the Pixel would have won. It has:
Newer processor (albeit underclocked as mentioned in the video)
Newer operating system (7.1 vs 7.0)
Google having control over the hardware choice and software
Lighter operating system (AOSP vs LG UX)
u should have done the speed test of OnePlus 3vs v20 n pixel before droptesting it..
. anyways buy a new one
Predicting Google Pixel will win!
fuck
I had the s7 the note 7 and now the v20 best android experience so far with the v20. Im used to the way iPhones work seamlessly, have no patience for apps closing and having to turn phone off. V20 does none of that great overall phone.
Hey David do the speed between galaxy s7 edge and the oneplus 3 and also do the transcodation of the video
you should really add the Xperia XZ I heard it does admirably well
Plzz need this!! We wait!! Pixel XL vs One plus 3 vs LG V20 !!
We need to see Android Speedtest Champ at the 4th quater!! Anybody who like my request please make this a well required speed test. 👌👌✌
After my request if you like do a speedtest Iif the winner of OnePlus3 vs Pixel XL vs V20 and make it go against the Honor 8 or S7 Edge!! Plz Plzzz
Theres no need to get the Pixel go off against the One Plus, it will get owned.
I'd like to see a Huawei device.
Oneplus 3 would lose already seen a speed test
Dante Neal
I bet it wouldnt. The OP3 is just better in the multitasking part.
The OP3 has the fastest speed tim, just check any OP3 speedtest video, it's even faster than the Pixel. I personally would love a Pixel vs OP3 speedtest
Speed test starts at 0:51
Phonebuff/David please have an drop test of Sony XZ, Google Pixel/Pixel XL, LG V20
How does the V20 win ? I mean The usual person doesn't have 4 games open on the background. So it comes more to the app opening / switching times which the pixel wins by a good lead

The Pixel XL is a good phone and all, but it's even slower than the LG V20. Come on, Google.
Please make Huawei Mate 9 vs. IPhone or Pixel
Hey are you going to test Xperia XZ?
hey sir...there's a new phone from xiaomi..MI 5S+ ...could u please make a speedtest comparision video of it against other flagships....i have seen the videos on "your techguide" channel and the results have shocked me...

Anand Kumar but then again this and fulltech guide's speed tests are different

Trexy Smexy lel this's speed test so he experiment with cpu, ram, ssd speed to guess which one the fastest phone cuz social apps use less cpu and ram
Mr. Minimalist I use a combination of system apps, social media and gaming. No lag
why phonebuff isn't doing a speed test on Google pixel vs oneplus 3
I have a king in my hand right now❤️ #ios
What's going on with the RAM management on the Pixel?
I know some Android phones like the HTC One have an option in the developer options menu to enable "high performance mode". google pixel vs galaxy s7 and lg v20 vs iphone 7 please and xiaomi mi note 2 vs iphone 7
The 6s hasn't lost to an android phone yet, David you should keep doing speed tests with it until it does!!!!
oneplus 3 vs pixel xl
vijay agrawal yea need it
vijay agrawal No, the new OnePlus 3t
Billybob Schneider yes now new oneplus 3t
and also oneplus 3t vs iPhone 7 and iPhone 7plus
can you do a drop test of the s7 active vs Nokia brick?!?

LG V20 all day, bigger and brighter screen, better audio, IR Blaster, removable battery, expandable memory, is a win
Normalny i wouldnt be happy seeing Google"s phone is loosing a speed test but since they decided to get rid of Nexus line and fucked N5X and 6P owners i"m proud of LG right now :)

Can you do a video with the S7 edge vs the Pixel XL phone please.
the international version of the galaxy s7 edge blows these phones out of the water
why are you times different on the xl on this test then when you comfort it to the iPhone 7 plus video? If you results are not consistent then you test results cannot be considered valid.
Do iPhone 7 32GB vs iPhone 7 128 or 256GB

Now I understand from +YourTechGuide means about Phonebuff speed test, if either device hangs on an app its basically disqualified for the whole speed test. As there is no where it can catch back up to the other device since one app caused it to slow down. It's basically unfair.
Plzz do speed test of s7 edge exynos version vs pixel xl
RAM is a joke in Android
Looking forward to 2017 where iPhone 7s with 3GB beats the Pixel 2 with 64GB of RAM
Interesting way to compare handsets rather than unboxing experience and direct comparison to another iBrand.
