    Excellent! That illusion works very well, and the modeling looks so realistic. It's not even apparent that the lamps flip 180 degrees each level.

    Truly outstanding, and inspirational work. This is now on my list of things to do before I pass on. Does anyone know how the quality and intensity of the reflected images would compare using the tempered glass with applied film method or using a premade 3/8" sheet of partially "silvered" acrylic for the top mirror? Thanks in advance.

    I was thinking of using a glass with reflective film for the lower mirror too: the lack of light on the back of the glass, facing the bottom of the table, should make it behave like a first surface mirror. Do you think it could be an option?
    Btw, yours is mesmerizingly fantastic.

    • @The-Stuff-I-Do
      @The-Stuff-I-Do  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure. it will probably work but the reflection might not be very bright. The good news is, if it doesn't work good enough, you can replace it later. So it's worth a try.

      @federicohapablap3571 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The-Stuff-I-Do Yes, I have that doubt too. If I decided to proceed with the creation of a DIY first surface mirror, my fear is that the reflective layer, now exposed to the atmosphere, would oxidize quickly. I read in your comments that you initially also thought about opting for this solution: did you have a workaround in mind to solve the oxidation problem? Can you suggest an idea to protect the reflective layer once exposed?

    • @The-Stuff-I-Do
      @The-Stuff-I-Do  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@federicohapablap3571 I don't have any ideas, a spray clear coat may distort the image. epoxy would work, but then you'd have the same gap as with glass. Let me know if you figure something out.

      The taller the better. But you can knock a few inches off and make it work. If you do two ladder rungs, keep them evenly spaced with half the distance from top and bottom : if 8” apart then make them 4” from top and 4” from bottom. This way the reflection keeps them evenly spaced
