You know your old school when you love those 12 inch versions way better than the regular versions. A time when some albums had only 6 songs on them and was any where between 6 to 10 minutes long and love just about every song aka The Time. I can't stand todays CD's where you have 20 songs that are about 3 minutes long and if your lucky you might like 2 songs. Songs these days as soon as you really start to get into it it's going off. Bring back those long versions...
Today's music does lend its self to extended versions. Can you imagine listening to an "auto tune' hit by Drake for ten minutes? That would be torture!
Masterpiece of a CD! That whole side A is phenomenal because all the songs run together concurrently. The gem on side B is EASIER SAID THAN DONE which I stumbled on! Can I get a thumbs up somebody?
As I sit here bopping my head and remembering what I was doing and where I was doing it at when this was 1st out and I am balling like a freaking baby...Great Times....
I HELLA Feel You! I'm just listening and all of a sudden just got HELLA EMOTIONAL as I remember those days back then. What I would cover to go back to those years.
I remember when I was a little kid I used to hear. This song on the radio my mom would go crazy. When she heard this song real talk man I miss those days.
Loose Ends is one group from my days in the Marine Corps that I can never forget. "Hangin On a String" was the first tune that I heard from this group. Then later came "Hold On" from their second album. They had the sound of the day, only they did it better. Then" Watching You" hit the airways. It's hard to understand why a group like Loose Ends never caught on outside of the urban seen. They got a lot of airplay on the urban stations. Especially this tune.

one of the best r & b groups from the 80s and 90s...never will be another group like them ever..do have one request thou, if anyone has the song called "look how long", could you down load the song please..would really appreciate a lot
This exactly how I feel with today 21st century music. Anything under 6 minutes is not worth listening to. You just be getting in the groove mood and that's when it began to slowly goes back to nothingness. Boo on these young musicians coming up these days. To find great long playing music, I stick with the 12 inch albums. The best three rappers who made long playing songs are: Ice Cube, Eric B. & Rakim and Digital Underground. There's other.
October 1988, sitting in the back seat by the window of a yellow band 25 seater maxi taxi (mini bus) on my way home from school on an overcast Friday afternoon at approximately 5:30pm. The seat is raised because there are 4 12" subs in a speaker box under there, and this song is banging through the system!
Kangol Bermuda Casual, acid washed jeans, United Colors of Bennetton, and a pair of Avia 880 High-Tops, was my outfit for 1988, and oh yeah " THE WORLD'S GREATEST ENTERTAINER, Doug E. Fresh, " Keep Rising to the top" in the Ghetto Blaster 💯 ❤
BOOM!!!! THIS IS HIGH QUAILITY MUSIC AT IT'S BEST!!! FIRST HEARD THEM WHILE STATIONED IN GERMANY MAN WHAT A TIME WHILE I WAS IN GERMANY WHEW!!!!! THIS GROUP ALONG SOUL TO SOUL SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN MORE AIRPLAY AND EXPOSURE !!! AWESOME GROUPS!!!
Loved this song! Still do! I am blasting this thinking back to my childhood years. Country Texas child running wild! (Running from animals and shit...) 😂

Kevin Mansell , most of these sing groups, they're not from the US, but the UK. Many British singers come to the US. to acquires some accents related to hip pop music. when we see these singers talking normally with nice English accent. it's hard to believe, the sang those songs.
