I love that you included the Black Russian Terrier and Giant Schnauzer! I was looking into both breeds when considering a companion and protector. I ended up choosing the BRT, have put a deposit down with a very reputable breeder, and I am hoping to be getting a male puppy with the right temperament for my lifestyle towards the end of the year. I can't wait to bring him home! 😀
They aren’t long haired… they are wire haired… I consider briards, rough collies, Afghans, and the like “ long haired” dogs… any dog that you hand strip? Is wire haired… I groom Black Russian terriers, bouviers, all terriers, schnauzers( all sizes),I think, with respect? We need more facts and research, before anything like this is presented… maybe the Akita is full coated? But not long haired…
Need more in-depth info on the Tibetan Mastiff. What an amazing breed. I live in Hawaii, so not practical, but I’ve had Tibetan Spaniels for 25 years and have admired the Mastiffs for the whole time
I love the Akita. My personal preference is wire haired coats over long haired as I spend most of my working dog time hunting. The GWP is a great all rounder as is the wire haired JRT. Thanks for sharing!
NB: Malamutes NEVER have blue eyes. Worked w/malamute rescue and there are still mixes of the two breeds that further confuse the identification due to careless breeding, pet shop mix-up of papers, etc.
@@WintersNFT Sometimes size, proportion, coat texture, even voice or friendliness w/other dogs are clues, but you're right that some were obvious Siberians.
To add, Akitas come in a standard coat, which is a double coated variety that you showed, and a LONG COAT which is a beautiful longer coat. However the long coat is looked at as a fault for showing. Many say the long coats have a softer temperament

I consider Airedale and the black Russian Terrier consider as wire hair dogs
Same. I don’t consider them long haired

The BRT has a very soft coat. It is not wire at all.
@@catherinelynnfraser2001 I thought it is considered as a wire hair dog because it doesn’t shed
@@catherinelynnfraser2001 they do have a “ harsh” coat though… you’re correct, not a so- called wire coat… love the breed♥️🐾🐾♥️
Proud owner of Giant Schnauzers. Great dogs …

He did two long videos on Tibetan Mastiffs in the past. The footage in this video is from the second one.
His TM videos are amazing. I can't imagine having on in any sort of humidity though. They def hate the heat.

Yeah I noticed he had videos of huskies in the video

awesome video, nicely done
Akita is totally my choice #2, but I love the TM and can't see having a different breed in our house.
Damn it's been a minute since you dropped a video😫,happy late Christmas and new years!!

Would love to have seen the Giant Schnauzer, but still a good video. Thanks Zeke!
extended video on the Schnauzer, that is.
And the giant schnauzer I forgot wire haired dog
Thanks for showing a working Tibetan (known as Benkhars in their native lands), not a designer's version for millionaires!
Bouvier Des Flanders for part 2. 😉
Malamute is a “Freight”dog.
Hm… interesting 🧐🤔
Id rather keep my wife, she's hairy enough for me.
None of the Russian sheepdogs or Spanish Mastiffs?
