AMTK82 (Phase VII) P42 leads California Zephyr into Emeryville

March 20th, 2024. Warm but overcast Emeryville, California, U.S.A. Amtrak 5, the California Zephyr from Chicago, Illinois arrives after its long journey into Emeryville. Although it’s being led by AMTK 82, a newly repainted P42 in Amtrak’s Phase 7 (Phase VII) paint scheme. Arriving in about 1hr 47 minutes behind schedule, AMTK 82 rolls into the station with its new paint job. Later departing after passengers disembark!
