Eduardo Montes I know it's been awhile since you asked this question, so I don't know if you found your answer yet but here it is anyway...This type of cordage is called "paracord" or "Parachute cord" it was made for exactly what it sounds like. To attach a parachute to a harness. It is still used to this day for that exact same thing but has become very popular in the civilian market in recent years. The US Military started using this cord in WWII and still does. It comes in different types but the most common is type 3 550. 550 being the weight the cord can take before failure. Being a former US Navy E.O.D Technician, I personally favor GENUINE military grade cord that conforms to US Military standards but just about any type 1, 2, 3 or 4 commercial grade paracord will work for projects like this, depending of course on the size of cord that you want to use. Not to mention that commercial grade paracord is half the price and much, MUCH easier to find...
