Maybe the most perfect match I've ever seen by anyone. No doubles, 1 break point against (saved), 83% of first serves won. In the last couple of games, Serena was beaten physically and emotionally like I've never seen her. She literally had no answers for the human ball return and she recognized that fact. Bonus.....Simona is incredibly likable.

Halep has proved herself now. She won because she came to take the trophy. We get to see few ladies who have such drive.
What a performance. This was one of the best matches I´ve seen her play. Hell, probably the best one.
I am not sure about it. Check her game against Angie Kerber in AO 2018 semifinal. She hit more than 50 winners in an epic game with 9-7 in the third. Or check the RG semifinal in 2018 against Muguruza. Or even this year Wimbledon semifinal against Svitolina. Or the winning game against Serena Williams in Singapore,2014: 6-0, 6-2. If I tried to remind more I would find probably more. This game is seen as her Best probably due to the fact it occured in Wimbledon final, against the great Serena and with such a big difference 6-2, 6-2.
