wow, some nice shit here. To those that don't know, Pat Travers...one of Canada's most underrated guitarists. Joe Bonamassa been playin' on stages since he was 10....nowadays he can be heard with Black Country Communion, and Warren may be one of the best.....ABB and Gov't Mule....
Wow, what a splendid trio with the excellent crew in the background! Let the blues be for ever! I have full of gooseflesh on my shoulders when I am listening the jam.
Pt's bluesband albums are not blues albums but great cover albums, Ok His Taxman blues version is great smooth and Quite different fom the best ever Taxman version........ Black Oak Arkansas!

what a kick ass jam! there are some of my faves guitar players :)
I totally agree!! Pat Travers is one of the all time greats that doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Warren Haynes is always amazing, too. This jam could definitely do without the screaming singer from Cactus. I love the band Cactus but have never been a fan of the singer
Great musicians on that stage. Including Tim B and Carmine A on drums and bass. Saw Cactus with Rusty Day (RIP) 2nd bill Fillmore West. Blowing away the headliner. Jimi Hendrix mentions Jim as a guitar player as one the best he had seen. Original "Axis Bold as Love" album inside...............................
I HAD THE PLEASURE OF PLAYING TWO SHOWS WITH THE KIM SIMMONDS BAND, FRONTED AT THAT TIME BY JIMMY KUNES. WHAT A SINGER!!!! HIS VOCAL WARM UP WAS BETTER THAN WHAT MOST SINGERS WOULD CONSIDER THE HIGHPOINT OF THEIR CAREERS. MY BAND ARCHER HAD THE UNENVIABLE TASK OF WARMING UP FOR THE LEGANDARY KIM SIMMONDS & COMPANY TWICE, AND BOTH TIMES WAS LIKE GOING TO A MASTER CLASS IN MUSIC!!! BUT NO ASS KICKING EVER FEELS QUITE AS GOOD AS WHEN IT'S HANDED OUT BY A MASTER LIKE KIM SIMMONDS!!!
Holy Crap! That's 3/4 of CACTUS. Bogart Appice Macarty. Too bad no Day. Saw them at Winterland long ago. They blew the place down. Now, I have to go find some Vanilla Fudge!
What you guys reckon? ....Is Joe playing through two Marshall 100 watt TSL's? If so, its not his usual set-up even though this was in 2007. Saw him a couple of months ago in Brisbane Australia and im pretty sure he was using a Marshall TSL with a JCM 800 and two Marshall DSL's then, but was too far away to be sure. Whats happened to his Marshall Silver Jubilee's i wonder?
@clocktime11 Actually... it's BONA-WHO? as the bus plate states... and you are out of your MIND if you think there were only 2 seasoned pros on that stage... good lord... Bonamassa can play!
Pat Travers is the older guy with long black hair to the left of Warren and Joe Bonamassa is left of the singer with shorter hair, he is younger them the other two.
theres no way thats steve vai. steve vai had short hair as of 1991, never has sported a beard nor 5 o'clock shadow, wears a button down and slacks every show, and never plays anything other than an Ibanez. Not him...
Couldnt hear you Joe too well and you looked a bit 'out of sorts' with it all. Not surprising seeing they tookaway your Les Paul for... was it a PRS or something similar?
This illustrates why 'blues is bad'. I hate when blues players have a chugging shuffle in the background and just take turns wailing tired mastabatory licks. I was really looking forward to seeing if Travers and Bonamassa would put their high level of blues playing into overdrive, I get the exact opposite, a lesson on how to make annoying tired nothingburger blues.
pat travers still is a awesome guitar player as of 2011...and is still makin magic
2023 and rocking. The cincinnati live is cool PT junior trio. With Strat. Stravers...
Cactus PLUS. What a lineup. Jim Mccarty, Bogert, Appice.. Pat Travis is a MONSTER, been following him since the 70s. Whew.
Travers*
Might wanna follow a bit closer lol
@@GenericSpace So have you? I'm curious
@@lukemanify At least enough to know how to spell his name lol
@@GenericSpace Now you got the spelling right so ,as Dave Meniketti said "We don,t need to fight when we're rocking right"🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Warren and that les paul tone is the stuff of legend
wow, some nice shit here. To those that don't know, Pat Travers...one of Canada's most underrated guitarists. Joe Bonamassa been playin' on stages since he was 10....nowadays he can be heard with Black Country Communion, and Warren may be one of the best.....ABB and Gov't Mule....
Surprised the stage didn't cave in! Heavyweights of music on stage there people.
Members of Cactus and friends.
Three of my favorite guitarist's in the 💜 🌍 is that the guy from roadmaster jamming with them nothing but respect ✌️ and lots 🎶💕 to all
Beautiful. Guitarist magazine's prime find of 2009. Many thanks. Nice to see Marshall stacks used by Blues players once again. Great sound.
Wow, what a splendid trio with the excellent crew in the background! Let the blues be for ever! I have full of gooseflesh on my shoulders when I am listening the jam.
Warren and Pat do some awesome covers
Pt's bluesband albums are not blues albums but great cover albums, Ok His Taxman blues version is great smooth and Quite different fom the best ever Taxman version........ Black Oak Arkansas!

I totally agree!! Pat Travers is one of the all time greats that doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Warren Haynes is always amazing, too. This jam could definitely do without the screaming singer from Cactus. I love the band Cactus but have never been a fan of the singer
Joe owned both but that's my 2 cents
@@jerrywoods4066 Joe stayed back. A humble guy
@@lukemanify still he easily smoked pat Travers

I miss Rusty Day with all this
great !! excellent !!!!!
Priceless.
Great musicians on that stage. Including Tim B and Carmine A on drums and bass. Saw Cactus with Rusty Day (RIP) 2nd bill Fillmore West. Blowing away the headliner. That's Cactus backing up all three of them. KICKIN' some @$$
They need to turn Joe Bonamassa's amp up
Holy Crap! That's 3/4 of CACTUS. Bogart Appice Macarty. Too bad no Day. Saw them at Winterland long ago. They blew the place down. Now, I have to go find some Vanilla Fudge!
Jimmy Kunes on vocals. That was the reunion of the band Cactus..
Whoa..?!? Joe B. is like the “red-headed step child “..!!??
Didn’t have a go at the go-round ..!!!
But that was one HOT jam..!
I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!!!
Tim Bogert and Jim McCarty are there. Why not mention them? Tim Bogert, in Beck Bogert and Appice. Jim McCarty, guitar player for Catctus.
THIS IS WITH CACTUS IM IN FKN HEAVEN YEEW
After watching a bit.. It's Jim... There are studio recordings of Jim jamming with Jimi Hendrix in '69.. Look for them...
@Toraboramusic prob didn't bother him too much....the necks are similar
What you guys reckon? ....Is Joe playing through two Marshall 100 watt TSL's?

Does anyone know where I could get a tab for the rhythm for this jam? Would love to use it in a jam myself.
if it can be transcribed, it probably aint a jam. Feel it or feel it not.
So was that introducing [The Mighty] Joe Bonamassa? I couldn't quite figure it out.
is the tall guy jimmy mc carty ?!?!?
Who is the tall guy on the left with the PRS guitar?
+twowaymuir His name is Jimmy McCarty.
Cactus rocks!
It's Cactus reformed Carmine Appice, Jim McCarty Tim Bogert Jimmy Kunes is singing and Randy Pratt harmonica

Amazing....it should read "Cactus and..." though.

YES IT IS !!!!
Have to laugh. Thought you meant Jim McCarty the Yardbirds’ drummer and couldn’t figure how you got a good look at the drummer.
great, whats that got to do with this vid?
PRS my ass Joe plays the rock monster 59 Les Paul and other assorted killer Gibson instruments!!! Plus a lap slide I gave him.
@clocktime11 Actually... it's BONA-WHO? as the bus plate states... and you are out of your MIND if you think there were only 2 seasoned pros on that stage... good lord... Bonamassa can play!
wow i kno the rest of the guys but the singers pretty sweet too haha
Can anyone name me all the guitarist besides Warren Haynes? I would like to know which are who from left to right please! Thanks TH-cam land.
Pat Travers is the older guy with long black hair to the left of Warren and Joe Bonamassa is left of the singer with shorter hair, he is younger them the other two.
Sorry, I don't know who the fourth guy is with the mustache.
the Tall guy With PRS is Steve Vai......
theres no way thats steve vai. steve vai had short hair as of 1991, never has sported a beard nor 5 o'clock shadow, wears a button down and slacks every show, and never plays anything other than an Ibanez. Not him...
That's Jimmy McCarty from the bands Mitch Ryder, Cactus and The Rockets.

Ronnie is dead? Just as I got into him after all these years
Joe Bonamassa @ The Capitol in P.C. , N.Y. 8/23 7 8/24 very soon !
The tall guy with the PRS kinda looks like Jim McCarty. I would think he would be playing his black les paul custom... Anybody????
Four awesome guitarists...Joe who ? you say...you guys need to listen more...the other guitarist is Jim McCarty...ALL seasoned vets..
SORRY WITH THE LEGENDARY CARMINE APPICE ON SKINS!!!!

I can't tell for sure because the video sucks big time but is that Tim Bogert on Bass?
@isabelfuentesnar
New People?
Since when is Pat Travers "new"?
Page is washed up and Gilmour is almost there.
This illustrates why 'blues is bad'. I hate when blues players have a chugging shuffle in the background and just take turns wailing tired mastabatory licks. I was really looking forward to seeing if Travers and Bonamassa would put their high level of blues playing into overdrive, I get the exact opposite, a lesson on how to make annoying tired nothingburger blues.
.......A jumbled mess
Learn to use your ears bro, like most of the classic rock players did. It isn't that hard, and you'll thank me later.
That poor singer. Did he really think anybody at a NAMM show likes him? Who's the tall guy on the left with th tger PRS?
This was terrible,,,,,,what a shame for such a great caliber of guitarists.
