Blake is a better college rb than Williams, if Williams can excel in the Rams system just imagen wat Blake the Great is gonna do. Super excited for Rans two headed monster. 🎉🎉

True...but they could've drafted a solid backup RB on day 3. They really need help at CB and there were several players that could've helped immediately.

Draft grades aren’t dumb. If you’re grading how well a team drafted related to how they will perform, then yeah… that is dumb. As you pointed out, no one knows how any player will perform. Draft grades don’t do that though. Draft grades are about assessing how well a team drafted related to the consensus expectation of how well a player will perform. That is totally legit.

Higher IQ people know how a stud player will play...injuries are the unknown...
...not an excuse to "not know" simply by being a lazy scout...

Of your scoring points, you force the opposing offense to play catch up which causes mistakes, and makes your defense look better

I love the guys they got. I think 6 of their picks are going to contribute immediately and at least 3 of them will start (Verse, Fiske and Karty). My only issue is that they ignored the CB position which was a top-3 offseason need. So based on that, I'd give them a B+/A-.

    • @sbd7301

We got 2 solid corners in FA and some of the guys we used last year won’t have to start so we won’t be as bad. I’m really wanting to see how our D coordinator work

Kinchens has played corner before but doubt we will see him play anything other than safety. Would have liked Dwight Mcglothern as a udfa

    • @mattosso7676

@@Chris-uo5fz Kinchens will definitely see time. Curl and Lake will likely start with Kinchens filling in. The Rams definitely needed to add depth at S and they did. So that's good, at least.

@@sbd7301 White was good 4 years ago. He hasn't bean healthy since 2020 and has only played in an average of 7 games per season, the last three years. Williams is ok to cover WR2, but not WR1. If either misses significant time, the secondary is going to be in trouble.

    • @sbd7301
      @sbd7301 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Maybe but I’ve watched this teams for years. We made the playoffs and almost won with basically backup corners. We’ll be fine Whitr might not play every game but he’ll be good for us

excellent draft. had to get a pass rush n someone to "fill in" for AD. Built depth at the edge n middle of d line. Like how we revamped the secondary. Great pick getting corum to supplement williams. we know we can pass, but we can also pound the rock.

This may be a blessing in disguise. Aaron and Jalen both gone so you go after D in free agency and in the draft with finally a 1st rounder in Verse and trade up for his team mate fiske. If T-White from Buffalo is healthy, we gonna ball on D. Let’s go. Raaaams House baby!!!

The Rams had to bring back a RB they cut at the end of the year when they were in the hunt for playoffs, of course they were drafting a RB.

Surprise the Rams or any other team hasn't done what the Bears did back in the 80s with William (Refrigerator) Perry. Get a big Offensive/Defensive player to run on short yardage plays and just run over people. Steve Avila gets my vote.

Even the fridge didn't do it much or much else through out his career. If all they have is power and trucking skills then they will have little versatility and thus the defense can prepare for that.

Let's not forget Shula has managed to last all through Wade Phillips, Brandon Staley and Raheem Morris. I have no idea how good he'll be, but he has to have picked up some good between the three of them and hopefully not just their weak points. Out of the gate, I'm less concerned about him leading practice and designing plays than calling plays...it's not for everyone, regardless of pedigree, training, knowledge or even practice. I wish him well. As a Rams fan I was oddly not hyped or bummed by the hire, I'm usually pretty opinionated on coaches.

    b- for value and redundancy.
1st off, every edge in this class was sup par as far as 1sr rdrs.
verse is ok, but snead should have taken bpa at 19, which is a wr.
the trade up costed too much.
the rams STILL need a super all around lb, especially in coverage, their lbs are amongst the worst in the league.
2nsly, I do t think kw is that great. he's once abain one of mcsneada love of small players.
why not take 4.3 40 guerrendo?
why miss out on trotter and take yet another edge in Jackson?
rams now have just over 5, 879,310 edges on the roster
also, the rams still have zero fs on the roster.
all are ss, and that includes curl
