      Yes indoor they can be green but in full sun the leaves go red. It is actually a mechanism the cacti use to protect themselves from sunburn.. so clever

      Hi what I found is as long as you have a little bit of stem the propagation will take place. Its just that the leaves take longer and my success rate was not that good. Keep me updated with the leaf propagation.

      Hi that's great! What I did i mixed potting soil which had organic bark etc and added sandy soil and grit for drainage. You could also go to your garden center and ask for a cacti soil and add the bark, similar to what orchids like.

    Are these berries non toxic . I noticed you touched them without the gloves

      The berries are fruit and actually eaten by birds who then spread the plant over vast areas through their poop.
