Bhai tell me one thing let suppose 1st year ke baad maine 99000 ka profit banya ok lekin aage ka tax save karne ke liye profit book kar liya then reinvest to current nav pe hi hoga na ....to new nav pe aage ka profit to waise hi kam ho gaya
Good video.but you forgot to include STCG. When you withdraw and reinvest . So effectively ull end up paying more if you u do this way. Total tax ull end up paying is roughly 75,851.85 The gov is not stupid they know ppl will do this to evade tax. So only Stcg is 15%.. But if you do it after 12months+1day or 13 months then you have a found a loophole.
This is one of my desired topic.I am using Tax Harvesting from last year.I take help from KUVERA app for Tax Harvesting. Please,Can you make a video about calculation of Tax Harvesting amount on investment through SIP & Lumsum in Excel sheet (taking any mutual fund as examples) ?? It will help a lot of people to harvest LTCG by themselves .
@fincalc, I've made the harvesting calculations for mutual funds, and found out harvesting only works, based on how much we invest, and for how many years. for number of years = 5, we get tax exemption of 88% like you told, but for greater number of years like 20-30, the tax paid will be infact more in case of harvesting, since yearly profit difference will be high for those many years, hence, tax at redemption is economical in that case, Ex: for mutual fund of 16000 per month, tax 10%, cess 4%, Tax saved through harvesting will be more than normal LTCG tax at 16th year The tax at redemption after 16 years will be 6,36,179 Rs, And the sum total tax paid yearly by harvesting is 6,73,390 Rs.
At some point of time ultimately the profit might go above 1 lakh in FY and you have to pay ltcg for it.. Tax harvesting is effective during the first 7-10 years but after you have accumulated enough investment amount, small percentage of profits increases your profits in numbers by a lot. So during that time think about maximizing your returns rather than thinking about taxes, anyway you would only pay 10% on profits which is not much I believe on big profits 😊 Still if you want than I'll cover the topic again in upcoming videos

Will Tax on LTCG on two indivisual mutual fund be calculated seperately or jointly by considering the profit on each fund. I have two fund having long term gain. Should I calculated tax individually by taking rebate of 1lac on each fund. Please be clarified
Expense ratio is the fees taken by mutual fund manager. It is included in the returns that is displayed on financial websites so no need to calculate expense ratio separately

You have not considered "Wash sale rule". if the investor repurchases the same security (or a substantially similar one) within 30 days before or after the sale, it is considered a wash sale. In a wash sale, the loss cannot be claimed for tax purposes.
Sir, agr koi government employee mf bechata h to kya uski salary m ye rupye judke usko tax dena padega ya fir sirf long term capital gain hi dena hoga..
But sir in equity share if every year we sell and again by than need to pay sst tax. Depends on demate bank. It is around 1.5 to 2%. If in your example if we sold 575000 and buying 575000. Than it sst around 10000 to 15000.

In SWP on equity fund if at midway differential amount capital gain is drawn what would be the final redemption amount? Suppose purchase @100/- per unit. No. Of units purchased.5000. Drawn on SWP 1000 units at different rates. In the midway drew differential amount of unit price on 4000 units @Rs.50 (100-50). Now balance unit stands at 3500. Current unit price Rs.200/- Now decided to redempt the entire units @ Rs.200/ unit. How much would he receive as final payment?
In usual SIP it is just purchasing of new units every period. Tax is calculated only when you withdraw money. So the time you withdraw - time you first invested is taken under consideration. To keep advantage of compounding you need to not lower your units so buy again with the amount you have withdrawn. Your units will be same approximately. But tax will be calculated again when you have reinvested the amount till withdrawn.
Agar yearly basis pe unit sell karke unit buy karenge to next year 10 rs wala unit maybe 12-14 rs ko ho means nav increase rate pe milega and jab nav ka rate Jayda hoga to units kam milega ispar aapne kuch bataya nahi and uska profit margin pe kitna fark padega iska calculation bhi nahi bataya. Tax harvesting to sahi hai par with increased nav and less unit purchased uska calculation bhi batao
Totally false information If you will do this procedure it will impact your total returns because you are selling units bought on lesser price and buying same for higher price This will impact long term goals which is the fundamental of mutual funds BUY AT LESS SELL AT MORE

you can check CAMS online website where they provide capital gains statements
Tax harvesting is good for 5-7 years, but if considering a longer period with higher amounts it becomes worthless.
take advantage of 1 lakh tax free profits in every FY
It is already getting invested in next year. Why to remove again and invest again in the same
I didn't understand
In usual SIP it is just purchasing of new units every period. Tax is calculated only when you withdraw money. So the time you withdraw - time you first invested is taken under consideration.
To keep advantage of compounding you need to not lower your units so buy again with the amount you have withdrawn. Your units will be same approximately.
