17:00 No, getting a electric tractor will not affect your enviromental score.
What does affect it is how you treat your fields. How you prepare (cultivate or plow), how you fertilize and weed (You need to get a sprayer with "spot and spray" to get the max potential). It can go to +15% bonus if you do everything perfect, but it can also go negative if you do everything horribly wrong.
22:00 Don't fertilize before you seed, If there is no crop in the ground the spreader will apply the maximum ammount it can, and can easilly bring the nitrogen level to 220(max) wich is too much for most crops. A litle over won't do much harm other than wasted fertilizer, but if you go a lot over it will start hurting your yield.
Slurry, manure or digestate can in most cases be applied before seeding, since 1 pass won't add as much nitrogen as fertilizer does.
And btw, when harvesting with the combine, anything that don't leave a straw swath will give you bonus nitrogen instead
You could manually set a target nitrogen level if you really wanna spray before seeding. Just have to look up the values beforehand.
That Valtra is a really nice mod for anyone who hasn't tried it. It gets my vote purely out of coolness, the magnum is probably the smart choice. They were great tractors with the cummins power
10:20 - measure twice, cut once.
Might want to move the whole tree over next to the trailer and cut it down to length once, as that nets you more long pieces for more money rather then loads of off-cuts.
17:00 - anything helping/hindering you (can get negative "rewards" on sales as well) is visible on the precision farming soiltype screen.
Wish these episodes were longer! I love the survival series

i think the new holland is great option. also, if you have to do wood to get money, do the wood. how else would you get money? don't always listen to the critics.
also could start planning area for farm house with a view and should be trees there near the cliff
For those who say "please no more trees"… you can start your own survival challenge and see how far you get without cutting trees every once in a while.

You know what we really need for a true legit survival challenge? We need to be able to use horses, maybe add in mules &/or oxen, to plow and do things the very old school way. Then work our way up from there. Then at least the horses would have a dadgum purpose
A Valtra would be nice
god damn, I've been binge watching this for about 5 or 6 hours and when I got to 25 I didn't know what to do , because the next episode wasn't out. This is great,I love these survival series,def want to binge watch more.
I'm still trying to remember if he sold the barley that is in the covered trailer or not. He was saving it for Jan.

regarding chopping down tree's, it has been mentioned to you before, you should really just keep holding the left mouse button, when the tree falls over, and then you will automaticly remove the stump, with the lumberjack mod you have :D
Hey @Daggerwin, a quick tip for your stubborn tree stumps, you can cut the trees real close to the ground and then use your John Deere mower to get rid of them! As well for the bushes, that mower grinds them all! Cheers

The valtra is an excellent tractor I’m using it in all my save games
When you use the trailer for wood, just remove the bale sides so you do not have to trim all the wood down to fit.
I would love to see a Deutz Fahr on here, I don't recall ever seeing Daggerwin use one but I'm sure he has. I would also prioritize a new Combine Harvester after the new tractor.
I think you should go with the Case because even though it's expensive it gets you to the horse power your looking for and would be better in the long run to buy.
The Case offers the most room to grow. I think it has the highest power configuration. Hoping for the Case 🙏🏻
Me as well, as I don't remember Daggerwin ever using a Case tractor before, and Case is my favorite tractor brand in game.
If I remember correctly soybeans put nitrogen into the ground and corn uses it, that’s the crop cycle in Iowa there might be other crops that use soybeans
Still think the steiger/raba 250hp would be the easiest choice and costs ONLY 11K and on the new field, plant soybeans, no fert needed
It would be amazing, but it's not his style I think, also it's a big, open-field tractor. Easiest and cheapest choice,but not fit for everyone's taste
it would make the most sense as it is a survival challenge, you'd want to maximise your money, and since he wants to buy a new field, and have a large crop field, this would allow him to have the HP needed and to save as much as possible for the new plot
Even if soybeans don't ned fertilizer, it don't make them a very profitable crop.
Fertilizer is not that expencive. In most cases the saved fertilizer expences will not make up the loss in potential profit.
About crashing saves - in most of the cases it's the onedrive synchronization. Just don't let onedrive to backup your save game directory. It's not needed anyway cause steam does backup. Onedrive sync is corrupting those files for some reason.
After turning it off I have no issues with savegames stuck on loading.
daggerwin i reckon the valtra is a good tractor.
Your wood selling experience would be nicer, if you used the right kind of trailer. There are cheap mod log trailers that your tractor can actually pull too.
I vote for the Case tractor. It’s more expensive, but more powerfull in the beginning than the others. And you can upgrade it later to have 260HP for the end price of £142500, and it’s a brand you haven’t used yet.
The valtra that starts at £100000 (Which is already more expensive than the Case) and you have less horse power, and even with an upgraded engine it’s still more expensive than the Case for less horse power (£155000).
The new Holland is a good tractor for it’s money but in the long I think you should best go for more horse power (as your next tractor) for when you’ll start to use bigger machinery. And I think the Case can handle that.
There is a Case IH Traction king Tractor, comes with 210 hp, can be upgraded in stages up to 300hp. Price 70,000, and 15,000 for max engine upgrade. That is a total of 85,000 for a 300 hp work horse! Helped me tons on my low budget farm!! It is a Medium Tractor in the modhub.

Question? Doesn't the border line go staith? Because if you plow the ground it will give you straight lines to follow. And the part you plowed now isn't straight. So maybe you can use the plow as a indicator??? Because I'm thinking 💭 your missing a lot this way. Can't wait for the next episode. Thanks for the upload @daggerwin

The case pulls above what it's rated for I can't suggest this tractor enough - love the content
Those tractors you are considering are actually the same tractor manufactured with a different brand name and bodywork. Timber, the way you do it you lose 10% ish of the value by creating 'off cuts'. Easy way, cut down all trees in same direction and debranch. Using super strength, bring all trunks together and align cut ends. Using trailer as a gauge cut all logs to same length and load trailer. Move trailer to remainder of trunks and repeat cut all trunks. With big trees may require third cut. The longer and straighter the log the more money is made. I use the 20m auto lode trailer which takes 2 x 10m and/or 20+m logs (total 30t +) and get between 40 to 65k for a full load.(FS17 and 19) Best used with a 1000hp Oshkosh ex military truck on wide agro. tyres.
Saw Driver53 do a test on log length, believe it was 6m logs he found to be the most profitable length.
Those 3 tractors are completely different machines, Case and New Holland merged in 99, just after the 7200 Magnum and 40 series were designed. Valtra is an AGCO machine designed with forestry in mind.

@@DonGorgen Yes I have seen tests by others as to most economic length of logs and whether to chip or sell as logs but I do not know if the coding for prices is game, map, or prosses specific. Some games have been produced where timber is the only crop initially available so some price may be adjusted to suit. A FS17 game based on North West US yielded $37m over 4 years of 'game' time. 80% to wood chipper 15% logs to saw mill, 5% pallet and barrel production.
In my opinion, the John Deere is worth more to you as a third tractor than $12,000 in the bank account (including front loader). You can make that $12,000 with a medium sized load of wood easily. Having another tractor on hand could be very helpful.
The Case 7200 Pro should be the one, it has the best HP to cost ratio and it's a monster of a tractor. Also, it's a survival challenge. So, to survive, you could use the Lizard Subsoiler backward and the small tractor to pull it.
that little peak with a tree on it to the west of where the cultivator is parked would make a good place for the cabin, have a nice view down onto the lake...
Loving the survival Series!! Do what you have to to get the money even if that means chopping down trees! Also love your time-lapse work, its fantastic! :)
Dude you need to use a small tree cut to size as a ruler. Makes it so much easier to load trailers, also stack fat to skinny to keep your load even and flat.
The log cabin would fit in so nicely!
That case is by far my favorite of all the choices, but it's hard to go wrong with any of them
Pretty sure that case has no PTO, just the front linkage. Also the Fiatagri has an issue with the open cover, so filling seeds from say a seed bin, or seed shop doesn't work. Only way is manually lifting a seed bag into it or by a seed sack on the ground. I had the Alien Jim seed shed that you can purchase from and it conflicted

That case 7200 looks great. Even if you get the lower HP option then upgrade it later. Has the most room to grow.
I know this is an old video now but could you not drag the whole tree over to the trailer and use the trailer to measure and get each length right the first time? You know, measure twice cut once and all that? It's hard watching them get lopped up willy nilly knowing they arn't gonna fit properly...
Please consider buying a Silo… that way you can hold crops until you get the best price!!!!

When it releases, you should get the Kubota skidsteer for any animal work / yard work in this series.
The case is my vote. Most room to grow. I would like to see a Kubota on this series though once the dlc comes out

I dont know if you knew that, but for profit, cutting wood at lengths of 6 meters gives you the most amount of money.

I would get the valtra I know I’m all about valtra but u did say in haut beyleron that you would get the valmet again but now would be the perfect time
For the price difference you should go with the case. You can upgrade the engine later on if you need.
Anybody else notice the mower is glitching out a little bit at the start of the video? Busy showing the box around it's area of effect on the ground...
It's possible to get 450-500 horse power with the Tatra Phoenix truck, it has PTO but no 3 point connection. All in all a very versatile truck that can do farm work. The 500 HP version is around 130.000.

feel like the longer the video the better due to some people like one series more than other but you got to make every happy so feel like longer videos give more content everyweek for each series
I think you should keep all the keys on hand from your combine harvester and tractors to prevent them going missing if that is Vircheralo Daggerwin is doing just a precalshen
The only problem with Fiat ( playing on console ) its a nice tractor love using it but man it's loud to the point where playing with headphones I really Need to lower down the vehicle volum down . But a nice tractor
Great video, get the measure mod then you can measure the length the of the trailer then cut the logs to that length.
Can you adjust the width of the swaths? I'm sure you pressed something and made it move the first time you used it. Maybe I imagined it. 👍
My recommendation is the Valtra. It's more affordable but is 200 horsepower which is enough for the scale of operation you are running.
A neighbour of mine has one in real life which he runs on a McHale Fusion combi-baler so it has plenty enough horsepower!

It should be some way to see the boundaries of your property more easily.. if nothing else a service you could buy from municipality or similar to mark out your property..
There is a new version of the mover coming out shortly. (By that mover i mean same type and look). It can cut grass, it can mulch and it can remove Stubs" (and fallen trees). Something to have a gander at for the stubs problem you got ...
I don't mind longer videos, personally I like the look of the New Holland 70 series, and again as I have always let you know: Do what you feel is right for you as a gamer and TH-camr.
you can sell the old Tanker and the old Plow to get money for the Traktor

I might be a bit bias since we had 3 8970s on our farm from a little before I came into this world till I was about 8 years old. However the 8970 is a great tractor irl and the bit I've used the mod in FS it's also a fantastic well working mod. I'd highly recommend it. Plus I've never seen you use a new Holland/ford. I think it's time!
You can also get a case mx 180 and up if it may be there

I found a trick with the logs. I cut one for measurement and then use that as a measuring stick. It stacked so beautifully
I don’t fully understand the want for a new tractor. Everything that you currently have will work for now. A bigger tractor make sense for later in the series. But at this current time other needs are necessary.

There are some incredible mods of the ford tractors. Would be nice to see some of them
You could go for the IMT 5360 , it is a large tractor with potential up to 550 hp, although it is slow, upside is it is fairly cheap

you should get the newholand because you can get it with a smaller engine and work your way up to the 240hp, second option would be the valtra because it looks sick.

What about Deutz Fahr AgroStar 6.61 Turbo 243hp? Its a mod tho. Pretty good small tractor with utility/ front and back...It costs 57k
I've been driving a small Kubota Granbia boy 180-190 for over a year. Small tractor but perfect for doing gardening etc etc on the camping I'm working on
