The entire album is a diss to their haters. They´ve received an enormous amount of hate due to their exploding popularity and the last song sums up what they have been feeling, especially the lyrics "You never know unless you walk in my shoes" and "It´s easier to judge me than to believe".
"You never know" made A LOT of fans cry because they witnessed all the hate that BP received through out the years.
@Yunamono ! i think those tracks was intentions to build up hates as many haters bashing them for the collab. as you can see only ice-cream has the "can be forgotten song" element so, they did it on that. after the album release, booom they nuke em. done.

True - saturating the atmosphere with their presence too much results to overwork if they do promotions every month and also their uniqueness and “craving by fans” will be a common thing and less impact. Minimal effort but huge impact is a longevity factor. 🖤💖

Love to Hate Me is a great song. Regarding the possible message:
Not definitive, but Blackpink and specifically Jennie has gotten a lot of hate for her earlier "sassy attitude" and pretty much every other little thing. Jisoo's smaller overall role in the group has gotten her haters about her "lack of skill". Rose's been relatively drama free, but some do talk trash about her unique singing voice. Lisa has gotten hate from racists and more recently due to her exploding popularity, fans of other girls are acting up.
Recently, there's been a bit of a problem with certain "fans" who only like a single member and would actually attack the other members for perceived slights to their favorite member, it's caused a lot of toxicity and drama within the fandom the last comeback, and with how kpop idols actual interaction with their fanbase on social media and streaming platforms, the girls are very obviously aware and you can bet how they feel about these "fans" slinging poison at who is effectively, an extended sister of theirs.

They once said they don't like releasing a lot of songs at once because they feel the b-side tracks, which are as good as the title tracks, won't get as much attention as the title track.

And BP never failed to deliver good b-sides
For me, all tbeir bsides are title track worthy
They were actually supposed to have more songs in this album but they thought that some songs does not go with its overall concept. I mean, the fact that they think about that is just pure artistry.
@@chloe-kh3oe not just because of the concept, teddy said they have a lot of songs but because they feel the songs don't feel complete and perfect yet they are still working on them. he did say they could release those songs but they don't want to because they're still not satisfied with how they sound, so it really isn't because of the concept of the comeback since the concept Is literally both black and pink.
I'm a blink so obviously i was really interested in seeing if blackpink converted you with this album. But even if you didn't, i liked your review bc it was in depth and not superficial (for clout and whatnot). You did research, you listened to the fan feedback, and you judged it by how it made you feel. It was an honest, genuine review and that's rare. You respect music and that's what won me over! Subscribed.

Their albums are more like an EP in America and the EP in Korea is more like a single album with some songs in it in America.

Everyone keeps saying the same, fans, critics, "IT'S TOO SHORT"... I personally expected at least 12 songs, the album does not disappoint but we needed more... Loved your review by the way. I can't decide which song is my favorite 'cause I really really love "How You Like That", "Pretty Savage" and "Crazy Over You". But I love the whole album.
I also didn’t care about “Bet you wanna”, I agree that Cardi could do better. However, I like “Ice Cream” much more now than when I heard it the first time 😊
Ive heard cardi rap was more powerful as she usually does but since it was released in Korea too and their thinking is conservative they had to Change the Rap.
First reactions are always rushed, panicky and hyped. It's always full of expectations and emotions.
Your first impressions of a song should not be the final opinions of a song. It's the same with life. You shouldn't hold people or you shouldn't hold music to the standards of your first impression.
You should allow that song to grow on your mind.
Take in all the aspects: the vocals, the beat, the lyrics, the instrumentals and everything. When your brain is able to comprehend and appreciate all those points, trust me, you will be able to have a more holistic and unbiased opinion on that particular song.

Totally, Cardi should've gone harder with the rap like she usually do. Without being completly nasty. Love Cardi but this wasn't her full potential they were playing it too safe here. Still a good song though
I think Cardi and Jennie suits each other, their style of rapping. Lisa has this unique tone where it's hard to find a suitable artist that will match it.
In their concerts Lisa might rap her part. Jennie might not since she already has singing lines in it. Also, in ice cream Rosè and Jisoo probably got less lines because they may be covering selena.
It is not a memorable song, in fact it is the flattest of the album

Please don’t take it as a criticism, I have been a fan since the very beginning, it’s more of a concern than anything else. I feel like you are putting too much pressure on yourself to do few deep dives at the same time. I noticed that you record less videos and I was thinking that maybe you got overwhelmed. Maybe just focus on one artist like you did with Lana? And do some current music every now and then. Totally agree. Too short. The only two songs which aren't great are the collabs. I think those songs were more about the marketing prospects than being perfect songs which all the others clearly are.
