Wow, they’re making an effort, but honestly… things just don't seem to work in Kenya. Remember, this stadium was closed for repairs costing 900 million KSH at one point, and yet, no tangible improvements were seen. Maybe the same old corruption mindset was at play, thinking they could get away with just patching things up here and there. But then CAF came in and made it clear what needed to be done. At first, there was some hesitation, and they even planted Kikuyu grass. But CAF stood firm, insisting they had to plant the correct grass. Eventually, the Kikuyu grass was uprooted. Even the canopy shed you're seeing now was a result of CAF’s intervention, along with many other suggestions for improvements that Kenyans weren’t initially considering. I really wonder why, when Kenya had this stadium, they didn’t think about meeting at least the minimum standards, not to mention the costs of maintaining it. Thank you, CAF, for standing firm. I’m sure if it weren't for your commitment, we would have embarrassed ourselves for the third time.
@@juniourx2203 I agree with you bro. For the longest time, they've been playing around with paints in the name of renovations. As I plan to update on Nyayo, but I think Nyayo is still the case of playing with colors. Maybe it's because it will be just a training ground
@maiyotheafrican nyayo is 40 years old stadium the best they can do is put up a canopy ( corver) to shield fans from.
