    Nice overview of the CFD process, including pre-processing, solving, and post-processing.

    I thought you said the PDE were unsolvable? How can we coompare it to the dicretized form? If we could solve the PDE we wouldn't need the dicretized form? So how can we have convegence when we can not solve the true analytical problem? No one really know the true solution.

    thank you for sharing this great work.
    is it possible to have apperent convergence? for example, to have stability but not consistency or to have consistency but and an extremelly slow divergence in stability, which seems not to diverge.
    thank you again

      I believe that it is possible to have a non-consistent discretization of PDEs. These might converge through a solver. The numerical solution in this case would not represent the one of the original PDE. Great question!

    Hello Dr. Miller, I am still a little confused on the equation of motion and discretization part (14:11), if I may can I ask you for the document that you mentioned explain more about this?

    I really enjoy watching your videos, they are very informative and easy to comprehend. Prof. Miller, do you have any courses in Udemey or Coursera? I am really interested

      I'm sorry I do not. Many of these videos came out of the era of COVID. These classes are much improved. My position is really lecturing in person. Besides, I want to make some new content eventually. I have a whole class on the Navier-Stokes equations that has been only taught once. That might be the next big project when I have time.

      Are you going to share the Navier-Stocks equations in youtube? If so this will help many students and researchers

    • @SAEMiller
      @SAEMiller  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are many CFD codes available online. I'm sure there are some open source free lists elsewhere. I think that most people use OPENFOAM. This class used SU2.

      Simulations are performed in many codes. The class is code agnostic.
