As a Sox fan I'm not expecting him to sign with us but I also wouldn't be surprised, after all, we do have a strong history of Dominican players that wore a red Sox uniform
Juan Soto is not worth 701 million. Even Ohtani did it with a 98% deferred deal, and he has a whole nation's advertisers behind him. If Soto really want 701 million, he probably will get a 25 years deferral too.
im still tryna figure out how it’s even logical that soto is deserving of 600 Ms or higher 💀. bro cant run the bases, he can barely field. and he wants ohtani money? ohtani pitches and hits. he’ll give you a 3.30 ERA w 45 bombs and 30 stolen bases. is juan soto doing ANY of that? 45 bombs yeah i can see it. but let’s be real…
Disgusting that baseball allows such wild variance in payroll. There should be 30 teams in on Soto, not 4 Raise the revenue sharing, add a floor, add a cap and make it a real competition
Don’t cape for cheap owners, there should be a floor but a cap isn’t the answer. The owners can spend this kind of money they choose not to. Moneyball is a fantastic movie but it also hated so much on owners that will do anything to win baseball games rather than only look at profit margins
@@taite12 eh you're half right. Theres definitely some cheap asses but most of the small market teams dont generate nearly enough revenue to spend $300 mil/year like the Dodgers and Yankees do. KC nearly went bankrupt in the mid 2010s because they were burning money ring chasing. Milwaukee has been pretty clear they spend what they can afford to responsibly. I'm not here to make excuses for Reinsdorf or Nutting but you gotta remember some of the small markets are only cities of 1-2 million people. LA metro is 18 mil
@@taite12 I mean, "not cape-ing" for cheap owners isn't really an option. I say this as a Pirates fan. Who watched the league basically blackball Mark Cuban from buying the team 20+ years ago. Who has watched 2 penny-pinching owners make profits EVEN with the fans staying away. I met Barry Bonds when HE PLAYED FOR THE PIRATES. I was 6. I curse that day often (not really, it was amazing and Barry was great even if he was a superstar even then).
hadnt thought about how miserable all three guys would be if he signs with the Dodgers😭😭😭that would be hilarious
The Dodgers signing Soto would be too much. But the entertainment value of the New Yorker freak out caused by that signing would be fantastic.
“Judge can’t hit in playoffs. Facts get into your fandom” 😭 Chris did you really need to do this? 😂😂😂
The man knows how to throw rocks at a hornet's nest
they want 701 mil for soto? re they dumb? he's not even worth more than 350 mil.
I'm a Mets fan and I personally am not losing sleep over it
You've never had Juan Soto
@@ronnielucente9645 I'm well aware
As a sox fan, I'm so used to my ownership being cheap that I won't even dedicate my attention too much towards this.
hes going to boston

That gut punch at the end 😭
This was me with Ohtani last off season
4:08 the face is perfect
PMSL, gonna be the WORST CONTRACT IN HISTORY!
😂😂😂 NYY let's go 🇩🇴❤️🙏🏻😇

I can't imagine a reality where Juan Soto actually commits his career to the Red Sox.
Au contraire
If Yankees don’t resign him they prove once and for all they are know longer the Yankees we once knew
Stop. If he don’t come back that means he didn’t wanna be back in the first place. Money gonna be there
Juan Soto is going to Dodgers with a bunch of deferrals. Trust me.
Rich's son is going to be a great broadcaster lol
This is starting to feel like Lebron James' 'The Decision'. Soto better deliver like Lebron did.
This is the MLB version of the Aaron Rodgers saga.
Rich made a kid at 43? Salute 🫡
550 for 12 or let him walk Yankees. Plan B will be fun.
I’d be willing to sacrifice the sport of baseball for Soto to go to the Dodgers if it means misery for Yankees fans (I’m a Red Sox fan)
Soto is on a plane to Toronto
He’s going to Boston 🤷🏽♂️
He should go to the Dodgers $1B over 30 years.
Sox fan. Will only lose sleep if they sign him.
He’s a dodger

Sad you have made your son a fan of a "Fat Joe Cursed" team. They Dodgers are going to have a few parades between now and the time he turns 20.
No Yankees win win
If a man is losing sleep over another man......
Hey Rich. Most people have a life! Get a grip.
Omg, it's so boring when these podcasters start talking about my kids...my wife.
No mets win win
Mets!!!!
Hate to burst all your bubbles, but he’s signing with a team no is mentioning. Phillies
not even in the mix
