That was a really good guide into wheel cleaning, Jim. 👍 It is great that pro detailers like yourself take time out of your busy schedules to produce videos like this. Thanks again the effort is much appreciated. 👍
Its crazy how much time it takes just to do wheels perfectly. But it takes real detailers with a real passion to get it done, and to enjoy every minute of it.
WOW that shot at 13:50 is great...Looks like a different color (more brown) in the light... Like the idea of doing the kinda "How To"...as supplement to your normal videos :)...Great work as usual :)
Thanks Jim, great episode! Nice to see a step by step on how to do it properly. I'll be modifying my process a bit. I'll try the Adams VRT next time. I really like his tire and rubber cleaner. It is pretty amazing. Thanks!
A very informative and well produced video, I am sure this will become one of the, go to videos of the future, and for those people that think we spend about 2 minutes a wheel, this should open their eyes a bit, well done Jim.
Purchased the finger mitt shortly after watching this vid used it for the first today what a great little tool. Love ur vids gents keep up the great work
Good video mate! Have been waiting for this type of video for a while.... Its always good to get a bit of reassurance we're doing it correctly. Only thing I think you could possibly add is to show a selection of different brand chemicals which you recommend & why you use one of the others etc. Need to get the van booked in again next year for a once over 😉
Really good info, thank you. I was all set to deep clean my car this weekend, then looked outside the front door yesterday and Mehhh……. Crappy UK weather. Looks crap all week too, so it would have stayed clean for just a few hours.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to help viewers. A video on the leather and interior would be appreciated, I love that satin look to the leather you achieve.
Thanks for another great video Jim, great idea to do a 'how to' series so look forward to watching this. If you could cover in the series how you assess paint depth and what is safe amounts, plus when doing your 'white details' how you chase "perfection" yet know there is still safe amounts of paint left when doing this process. Thanks again
Hi, thanks for the great video. I have been cleaning my wheels by snow foaming the whole car, dwell, rinse... Then using citrus pre wash if any bad grime, dwell, rinse... Then using a soft Valetpro wheel brush with shampoo to clean the wheel. I still feel like I am putting minor hazes on the wheel finish, should I be using a wheel cleaner like you do in this video and rinse before using the brush/shampoo? Thanks
Great video, I watch a lot of the videos that you post but seemed to have missed this one, when searching for videos on youtube this came up and it would have been rude not to watch it! keep them coming no matter how simple the jobs are!
Great video and guide. Lots of methods and opinions out there but I've always found applying wheel cleaner to a wet wheel less effective because there is a film of water over the dirt. Also when I'm done I apply sealant like jetseal109 to the wheels to make them easier to clean next time.
Great video Jim, as usual! I would really like to see an interior video with tips and tricks such as this. I feel like interior is very important but often overlooked, it looks to me you have got it down to T. I'm a big fan! Thanks for your efforts Jim.
Two areas I would love to see cleaned by you , I always struggle to clean leather seats with holes , and the bins on door cards that show signs of very light scratching from foot wear /buckles can this be rectified using a hot air gun on the plastic ?
I've used wheel cleaners on my cars over the years and when ever I use it on a diamond cut wheel after a week or two the wheel corrodes under the lacquer ruining the wheel. The other issue I have had is with the wheel cap. My Audi A6 had large wheel caps and all of them corroded with in a week and this was done by the dealer. The last wheels ruined was a Nissan Juke Ntec and it was Bilthamber wheel cleaner. Yes it cleaned the wheels but with in a week two of them were corroded. By the why they were in perfect condition with no curbing, I also touch up any noticeable stone chips with lacquer. The problem is on a sharp edge where the diamond cut meets the painted edge, if the lacquer has a very thin or break in the surface the wheel clean will creep under and corrode the aluminium. I never use a wheel cleaner now due to this issue. Love to hear your opinion.
Dont suppose you have any helpful advice detailing a car with a knackerd back . I was all ready to set up my own valeting business this year after the long winter and then my back went on me. I just about manage my own car , but it's getting worse and not looking good . My car is looking neglected and our Lincolnshire weather is just making it worse . Great idea the mini how to videos , your always down to earth and how you explain your teqniche is very clear . Keep up the good work and stay warm.
They make designated carts and stools on wheels that are low. Maybe that'd help some. It hurts my back and joints to stoop down. I think sitting on something helps because i can bear my weight on the rolling seat my joints/back.
Love these how to vids keep them up Jim. Quick question best product after cutting to remove swirls been using 3m ultra fine polish with the blue head with a rotary after a few passes still no joy any feedback would be great cheers
Jim I would love to see a video on how to maintain a coating - specifically how to revive it once it becomes contaminated, it’s an issue I’ve faced myself recently with gyeon duraflex
Hello Jim and thank you for this “how to series”. I think this Will be very helpful for many of us! One question though: I a friends car over with gloss black painted wheels. After treating them with my Valet Pro super soft detailer wheel brush they seemed to be scratched. I don’t know if it was my doing or they had already been there. Anyway, I would love to minimise the risk of scratching in the future. How would you tackle this? Is there a safer way?
Hey. I have that wheel woolie package that I use on my Durango SRT8. They do the job pretty good. Microfiber Madness makes a good wheel woolie type thing also.
Question? How come on my 2021 Camaro ss1le the aluminum alloy wheel Barr old are not the same surface as the rim face? And therefore never look like they come shiny clean? It brand new and it looks like stains or something in the barrels even after washing and detailing? Kinda frustrating for an expensive car. The face is gray colour cleared coat but seem like they will be heard to keep clean. I need to try iron remover to see if I get any reaction even though I use p&s break cleaner and carpro multi x.. any tips would be great! Thanks again :)
how do you avoid the rust that is occurs on the disc when washing the wheels? Dont have access to a blower and when they dry on their own the rust builds up fast
Great video, thank you.. you mentioned this as a mistake you made on previous episodes (car was transferred with wet brake rotors, rust buildup). How do you tackle the rust buildup now? When I’m done with all my wheels, rust is already there. Do I have to blowdry each wheel after done, or any other methods? @whitedetails
Thank You. I like this type of content as my practices become better from it. That is a nice color for the Porsche. Sad, would seem an amature tire serviceman with old equipment got a hold of his alloys as evident by the machine marks on the inner barrel.
That was a really good guide into wheel cleaning, Jim. 👍 It is great that pro detailers like yourself take time out of your busy schedules to produce videos like this. Thanks again the effort is much appreciated. 👍

This channel deserves waaaay more than 31k subs! Keep up the good work Jim!

Best detailer on YT
Beautiful car. Love the final photo, Jim. Nicely done as always! The best detailer on TH-cam.
Best wheel prep video I have watched and realistic for a street detailer like myself. 10/10 :)
This should clear things up for most people! Nice one Jim!
Thank you for this instruction, I especially like the trick with the trolly jack without actually removing the wheels. Will start to do this!
Great video Jim. Greetings from Perú south América. 🇵🇪
Finally the refresh button worked....a new WhiteDetails video :)
WOW that shot at 13:50 is great...Looks like a different color (more brown) in the light... Like the idea of doing the kinda "How To"...as supplement to your normal videos :)...Great work as usual :)
Superb, very satisfying to watch. There is something therapeutic about detailing a car. Thanks for the video and l checkout others on your channel.
Been waiting for a proper instructional! Great one! Keep em coming, cheers
Great video Jim I’d like to see an engine bay detail sometime 👍
He's got one matey
Thanks Again for a thoughtful video, I’d been hoping you would start a series of “How To” Videos with your perspective. Aloha From Maui.
great job and thank you
Thanks Jim, great episode! Nice to see a step by step on how to do it properly. I'll be modifying my process a bit. I'll try the Adams VRT next time. I really like his tire and rubber cleaner. It is pretty amazing. Thanks!
The best just got better! Thanks so much for the detailing details and elements of your craftsmanship.
What a beautiful job on this Cayman!
Jim, great video as always. I'd like to see some glass cleaning, polishing (when to polish) for both interior and exterior.
I hate intros, but yours I can actually tolerate, I even like it.
A very informative and well produced video, I am sure this will become one of the, go to videos of the future, and for those people that think we spend about 2 minutes a wheel, this should open their eyes a bit, well done Jim.
Love these tutorial type of vlogs. Nothing like learning from the best. Thanks Jim!! 👍

Hi jim you are the master of car cleaning good on you mat
What do you use in the bucket for the wheel cleaning agitation process thanks great video
Great vid. I follow your regiment. I found having a good protectant on the wheel in the first place, repels a lot of brake dust and road tar.
Really good info, thank you. I was all set to deep clean my car this weekend, then looked outside the front door yesterday and Mehhh……. Crappy UK weather. Looks crap all week too, so it would have stayed clean for just a few hours.
Absolutely Beautiful ! Well done Sir !
Teacher Detail, Great.

Nice practical advice, this is a great idea Jim, just breaking each task down to its component parts.
Great work Jim loving the individual sections...
Hi, thanks for the great video.

Doing my alloys today after watching this guide 👍🏻
How did it go for you? What type of car do you have?
Great video and love the little intro
Many thanks! Intro hopefully gives new viewers a little insight to the Channel's content

Great video Jim! Enjoyed this additional instructive form of content and look forward to seeing more.
Enjoyed this!
Your work looks fine . I use a leaf blower to dry the wheels .
Great video, exactly what I was looking for.
I've subscribed
Great video Jim, as usual! I would really like to see an interior video with tips and tricks such as this. I feel like interior is very important but often overlooked, it looks to me you have got it down to T. I'm a big fan! Thanks for your efforts Jim.
I have a tarmac drive so would using a tar remover also stain my nice new drive?
Thanks Jim, looking forward to more in this series.
Great looking wheels👍🏼 i Wonder whats your opinion on dry ice cleaning? Saw some great results on wheel arches and undercarriage
Great vid Jim, cool proces and a cool car. I would like to see a winter maintenance wash video. Keep up the good work!
Nice, thorough 'how to', very well explained 👍. Thanks.
Great video and learnt a lot of useful tips 👌🏾
Hi Jim, great video. One question. What cleaning solution do you use in the bucket? Is it just shampoo? Thanks
Brilliant advice Jim
What do you suggest to use to remove the weight glue on the wheels. ??
In the time lapse, were you pressure washing inside the doors and trunk?
I just watched you on Pan the Organizer's channel. I really like your style and have subscribed to your channel. Thanks for the great information.

Love the series Jim, please keep these videos coming :)
Another awesome video . Aloha from Hawaii
Lovely Jim lad, keep it up!
Love it Jim. Great detail as always.
Thank you for your beautiful video
Are the EZ barrel brushes safe to use on diamond cut alloys?
I’m concerned about scratches.
What do you use to remove wheel weight residue?
caramel wheel
Just got some Lescot products , worked great with your method!!
I did 6 cars today in 12 hours but I still have the watch Jim clean. It would be great to see how you polish up exhaust tips sometime maybe.
How to videos from the legend Mr White, fantastic. How about an engine bay detail guide Jim?
Very well done, mate!! Excellent idea to do such videos 👍👍
Jim, quick question after cleaning the wheels what would you usually do to stop the rust from the Brake Discs appearing on the wheels
Thanks Tobias. Yes, Kyle, best to get the vehicle moving soon after. I left a little pointer ref this underneath the video in the text
how should we wash diamonds cut wheels same or different way
Great video! Thanks
how do you avoid the rust that is occurs on the disc when washing the wheels? Dont have access to a blower and when they dry on their own the rust builds up fast
Bilt hamber are the best products out there
Great video. Really helpful 👍🏼

Hi Jim,Great video Thaks

Can it damage your drive train if you rotate the wheel while the car is in park?
Hi Jim how hot do you have the water in the buckets 👋.
Learned alot from you videos, hope to be in a similar position in the future 🤞
Hello Jim...aka M8 on the other side of the pond. For example how long did it take you edit this video? Great detailing btw.
Hi Jim can we get a dedicated interior clean (fabric interior)
